Supervisor Ropke Wingert Looking forward to a happy and healthy 2015. We have a really good team and I appreciate all of our employees. Just a reminder to all the newly appointed, you need to get sworn in. We just got the resolutions for the Association of Towns training. Would anyone like to go? It starts Sunday, February 15 th and runs through Wednesday.
Organizational Meeting, Town of Tusten, January 5, 2014 Page 5 RESOLUTION 13-15 AUTHORIZE ANY BOARD MEMBER WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND THE ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS TRAINING TO DO SO. On motion of Supervisor Ropke Wingert, seconded by Councilman Meyer, and Councilwoman Luchsinger- I put in for the stove, hood, and thermostat remotes. I met with Woodland Design for the sidewalks. They want $2,500-$4,000. So, I m working on that from another angle. I ll call about the Senior Housing. There is a company that comes in and does the whole thing. And, I m trying to sign up for Grant notification. This would tell us when there are Grants available. Councilman Ritter- Are we going to set a Public Hearing date for the overlook deck? Wes Illing will look at the Geotech survey and get back to the Board. Councilman Lang 2015 is looking very good. The keys are the bridge and the deck. Any news on the school? Mr. Jackson replied, No. Councilman Lang asked, Has the School actually been purchased? Supervisor Ropke Wingert answered, No. Public Comment Ed Jackson Did you get a response back from School Board? Supervisor Ropke Wingert replied, No, the letter hasn t been written yet. Glenn Swendsen- It s been a pleasure working with everyone. I ve bumped heads with one Board member. Right, Ned? But we have made up. If we don t purchase a minimum 500 gallons of fuel, the price goes from the State Bid price to over $2 a gallon. Maybe we can piggyback with another township, maybe Thompson. It would be cost prohibitive to install a new tank. Councilman Meyer stated, Maybe it would be a good idea to have a second tank just so we don t get caught short and avoid small delivery fees. Iris Helfeld- Anything heard about the Bridge? Supervisor Ropke Wingert answered, No, I just need to sign the letter. I thought we would get more letters from residents and merchants. Ed Jackson- I would like to compliment the Highway Department. You ve done a great job so far. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 6:33 p.m. Respectfully Submitted,, Nicole Peters, Tusten Town Clerk
