Selected Bloomington because the food/beverage costs had gone up everywhere else, but prices are steady in Bloomington and based on our previous contract c. 2018 Annual Conference Planning (Shaun Scholer) Will use Cvent RFP process to get bids. We are looking statewide We are considering a destination event site like French Lick / Casino location. d. 2016 IGIC Membership Finance Report (FINAL) As of 5/23 371 members As of 2/11 304 members See spreadsheet in Dropbox e. 2016 IGIC Current Financial Forecast Current balance end July - $102,631 About $7000 behind our projected end of year goal, but expect that to improve. See spreadsheet in Dropbox 6. IGIC Project, Grants and Prospect Reports a. Local-Resolution NHD Project & Waters Workgroup Update (Robert Wilkinson) All work is done, and the last 4 HUC-8s left to add to USGS NHD Process for maintenance is our next step. Mike Martin has AGOL map developed to add QC call-outs, so they can be reviewed and edited by maintenance staff to fix errors. Waters workgroup Meeting next Tuesday to discuss maintenance NHD webinar recording available online b. County Data Sharing Harvesting Support (Phil / Charline) Need for continuing support for the next 2016 harvest No current active subcontract with Charline need to set up for next harvest c. 2016 NSGIC NOAA Resiliency Grant (Phil) Grant is done and all Fees paid to IGIC Results posted to NSGIC.org web site [select the Natural Disasters tab] d. 2016 USGS 3DEP Grant Award (Phil) IGIC Board Meeting Minutes August 11, 2016 Page: 2
3 counties this year Wayne, Marion, Hamilton Acquisition for Marion and Hamilton Complete Wayne is conducting an RFP selection process for their vendor e. 2016 IndianaView Mini-grant Award (Rick Hill & Phil) Develop Story map templates for Indiana Bicentennial Maps by GENI Time line produced from pdf created by GENI Templates and how-to instructions will allow the other 89 Indiana Counties to create their own County Story Time-line Map f. CLIR Digitizing Hidden Special Collections and Archives grant proposal (Lorraine Wright & Phil) IGIC did not get grant award We did get good feedback on what to do in the next round Original holder of documents must be the one applying State archives is original holder, so we will apply differently next year g. Indiana Silver Jackets IFMP proposal USACE FY17 Interagency Nonstructural Flood Risk Management proposals. (Lacey Duncan & Phil) Grant to publish Disaster Mitigation Plan data in a portal for GIS data uses and non-gis people to access data. No feedback yet h. 2017 NRCS County Lidar Funding plan & IGIC 2017 USGS 3DEP BAA Proposal Plan (Chris Morse & Phil) $3,100,000 budgeted so far through Indiana NRCS Office 2018 now available Elevation Workgroup will continue to work on developing new statewide elevation plan and 3DEP proposal 7. Old Business a. 2016 David C. Ford Award Recipients (Jim Stout, Larry Stout, John Buechler) These awards were back ordered at the conference, but have now arrived Awards given to our 3 recipients. Mapping Indiana, Five Centuries of Treasures - Indiana Historical Society See sample book IHS sells book for ~$60 IGIC will sell book at the State of Indiana GIS Day event we make almost $30 each b. Dave Nail USGS liaison for Indiana and Kentucky, announced a pending job change Now also taking over liaison role for Illinois & Missouri Dave will move to Rolla Missouri in about a year Should we ask IGIC, NSGIC, NRCS, others to write letters to USGS to advocate the need for USGS to have 1 Liaison per state?
