COFFEE Our meeting date Thursday, Dec. 8 is the Holiday Luncheon at Vista Valley Country Club. Hope to see you there and don t forget your toy for Marines. Doors open at 11:00. Our January Coffee Meeting is our Chinese Auction. Please bring your items for the auction with your name on the bottom so that if they are not chosen you may take them home. STITCH & BITCH We will be meeting at 10 a.m. at Trudy s. Bring your project and join us for a visit and good camaraderie on Friday, January 27. Please let me know of your planned attendance and if you like to bring something to share. Trudy Snell 760-758-4120 BOARD MEETING No Board Meeting in December. The January Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24 at 10 a.m. at the home of Linda Mueller. Please notify your hostess of your planned attendance. SUNSHINE I sent thinking of you cards to Liv Jenkins, Shirley Wolf and Grace Hoffmann. Liv fell a while ago and hurt her back. Shirley fell and broke her hip, wrist and had to have stitches over her eye when her glasses pressed against her face. Grace was in Las Vegas for the yearly Marine Ball and fell getting out of a car. Fortunately, e-rays showed that she didn t fracture or break her hip. She is very badly bruised and sometimes feels pain when she walks. We wish all you gals a speedy recovery. Remember, if you know of anyone who needs a get well, thinking of you or pick me up card, please let me know and I will send out a card. TOYS FOR MARINES Please remember to bring your unwrapped holiday gift for a child or teenager (gift cards or toys) to the Holiday Luncheon. MEMBERSHIP We now have a 62 members. It's so nice to have ladies discovering us as we all know we have many fun activities and lots of nice people in our group. Please welcome Judy Beaumont and Rita Sweeting. Judy is new to the area moving from MI. She is retired from management with the American Red Cross. She loves to read and has already met with our Book Club. Her birthday is 9/26. Judy, we are so happy you found us. Rita Sweeting has lived in Vista for 16 years. Rita is a vocalist, song writer, singer and vocal coach. She is now doing a Loan Orientation for an additional career. She also has a non-profit for Homeless Youth. Rita, has many experiences in life which I hope she will share with us. She is interested in learning to play Mahjong. After previously visiting us I'm happy she decided to join us. Rita's birthday is 7-1. Please remember to add this information to your roster. ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS Doris has only 2 more books left out of 28. 11 members participated in this fundraiser. Yet everyone goes out to eat. I'll have them at the luncheon. A member may call, & I'll deliver the book to her house. I have sold 15, & it is NOT my fundraiser.
