The role of the European Fund for Integration of Third Country Nationals So far majority of activities taken in order to integrate foreigners (except of beneficiaries of internationalprotection)was related to the implementation of the EIF, According to the actual lack of other integration efforts financed from other sources, EIF plays a crucial and leading role on the field of integration of third country nationals, Planned activities of the EIF in Poland, meaning the annual programes reflecting to the records of the Commission Decission of the Fund, become a benchmark of the integration efforts implemented in Poland
The role of the European Fund for Integration of Third Country Nationals - Projects implemented in frame of the Fund are responding to the integration needs of immigrants, - EIF is supporting development of organizations, which aim is to provide assistance for foreigners on various fields, - It was possible to diagnose many phenomenawhich arise together with the inflow of immigrants - All of the institutions and organizations involved in the integration issues have learned how to deal with immigrant integration, whatis needed and what steps should be taken in order to ensure state provided integration of immigrants
Government reaction to the growing need of introducing state provided integration measures 2007 beginning of the implementation of European Fund for Integration of Third Country Nationals in Poland End of 2009 beginning of the work on the migration strategy in Poland 2011 beginning of the work on the Polish integration strategy 30 July 2012 Council of Ministers accepted the strategic document The migration policy in Poland current state of play and further actions Since October 2012 preparation of the implementing document to the migration policy June 2013 planned adoption of the strategic document Polish integration policy principles and guidelines

Polish integration policy principles and guidelines Working Group on the integration of foreigners by the Interdepartmental Team for Migration consists of experts from ministries (permanent members) and experts from ngos, international organizations, local and regional authorities, researchers (invited members) 7 subgroups -Housing - Employment - Language education, cultural orientation and education of children -Preintegration and transition from preintegration to the integration -Assumptions, solutions and building theintegration system for the spontaneous immigrants - Activities targeting receiving society and building intercultural dialogue - Monitoring and evaluating the integration actions
Polish integration policy principles and guidelines Sources of inspiration in developing the strategy: -Questionnaire sent out to 136 stakeholders regarding the shape of the future Polish integration policy answers are being elaborated now -Provisions contained in the document The migration policy in Poland current state of play and further actions -Best practices developed during the implementation of the projects financed and co-financed by European funds -Research about the evaluation of individual integration programs for foreigners granted international protection -Other research on integration needs, social attitudes etc. -Handbooks on integration -European Integration Modules

Integration of labour migrants main goals (not implemented yet) -Permanent and regular facilitating access to the labour market of different groups of foreigners through simplifying procedures of obtaining work permit and removingtherequirement of obtaining work permit for another groups of foreigners -Introducing of orientation programs for all foreigners coming topoland in order to work and study -Introducing Polish language courses for all foreigners interested in obtaining permanent residence permit and Polish citizenship -Promotion of both: employment and integration of foreigners
