Evidence Issues in the International Court of Justice Convenor: Anna Riddell British Institute of International and This session will discuss the issues of evidence before the ICJ currently being examined by the British Institute of International project on 'Evidence in International Courts and Tribunals'. The implications of the non-appearance of state parties, evidential requirements for preliminary objections and witness testimony are amongst the topics which will be covered. The discussion takes place in the wider context of the Institute s establishment of a Law and Development Programme, in which legal expertise can be brought to bear in a development context.
