Regular Meeting Administration Building The Barron Area School District Board of Education met in Regular Session on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 6:30 P.M. at the Administration Building. President Rod Nordby announced it was an open meeting and that proper notice was given to the news media. Members Present: Rod Nordby, Mike Dietrich, Chris Donica, Danette Hellmann, Dan McNeil, Roxie Micheels, Jeff Nelson, Kelli Rasmussen and Orin Thompson. Members Absent: none. Public comments were invited by the District at Large and by Staff and Students. Spotlight on Education featured a presentation on the 7 th Grade Winter Survival unit. Spotlight on Staff: 1. Heather Madison Minutes of the February 19, 2018 Regular Meeting will stand as corrected and the February 19, 2018 Executive Session Meeting will stand as presented. Micheels/Nelson moved to approve 2 Revisions for the School District calendar for 2018-2019 reflecting a change to the elementary student days and an additional day off school. Motion Rescinded. Donica/Hellmann moved to separate previous motion into 2 motions. Donica/Thompson moved to approve the revision to the 2018-201 School Calendar Proposal #2 as presented. Micheels/McNeil moved to approve the revision to the 2018-2019 School Calendar Proposal #1 as presented. Motion failed 4 ayes, 5 nayes (Voting No: Nordby, Donica, Rasmussen, Hellmann and Thompson). McNeil/Micheels moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to Wis. Stat 19.85(1)(d): Considering specific applications of probation, extended supervision or parole, or considering strategy for crime detection or prevention. Roll Call vote:
