SHRIMATI JAYANTHI NATARAJAN to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the prevention of sexual harassment and exploitation of women employees at their work places by their employers, superiors, or colleagues and of girl students in schools, colleges, universities by their teachers or by the employees or research guides and of inmates of women protection homes or naari niketans by their in-charges and employees and of housewives and girls at homes by their near and dear ones through deterrent punishment and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. 6. SHRIMATI JAYANTHI NATARAJAN to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the protection and welfare measures to be undertaken by the State for the infirm, destitute and neglected old women and the widows by extending financial assistance, rehabilitation, medical care and other facilities through a Welfare Board and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. 7. SHRIMATI JAYANTHI NATARAJAN to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the prevention of abuse of children in any from be it forcing them to work, beg, or physical and sexual abuse, or trafficking of girl child for commercial purposes by pushing or forcing her for prostitution after procuring, luring or kidnapping and making her available for hiring or for taking possession by her client for promiscuous sexual acts by providing deterrent punishment including capital punishment for trafficking and abuse of children and for the rescue, rehabilitation and welfare of such hapless children who have been forced to become child sex workers by the state and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. SHRI MAHENDRA MOHAN to move for leave to introduce a Bill further to amend the Special Marriage Act, 1954, the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The Consumer Products Safety Authority 11. SHRI MAHENDRA MOHAN to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for establishment of a Consumer Products Safety Authority as an independent authority to protect the consumer from unsafe and hazardous products; to constantly monitor safety of various consumer products; to make mandatory for consumers, retailers, distributors and manufacturers to report product related accidents and injuries; to direct the distributors and manufacturers to recall the defective products and to prevent supply of defective and spurious products in the market and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. The Professional Courses (Common Entrance Examinations and Miscellaneous Provisions) 12. SHRI MAHENDRA MOHAN to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for a common entrance examination for each professional course for admission into various government and private professional institutions offering higher education in the country and to regulate the fee structure of the private institutions offering professional courses including the application fee charged before admission and for matter connected therewith and incidental thereto. The Handloom Weavers (Protection and Welfare) 13. SHRI GIREESH KUMAR SANGHI to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the protection of distressed handloom weavers who are debt ridden, exploited and are committing suicide and for introduction of welfare measures like life insurance coverage, interest free working capital and consumption loan, healthcare, education to the children, availability of affordable raw material, modernization of looms, housing and compulsory purchase of handloom cloth by government and for the establishment of an authority and a welfare fund and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. The Booming Population Control 15. SHRI GIREESH KUMAR SANGHI to move for leave to introduce a Bill to provide for the promotion of family planning measures by the Central and State Governments to control the booming population of the nation through incentives and disincentives so as to ensure that the population is commensurate with its social, economic and other developments and with the ecological balance and bridge the gap between the haves and have nots and for achieving quality of life and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. FURTHER CONSIDERATION of the following motion moved by Shri Mahendra Mohan on the 3 rd July, 2009:- That the Bill further to amend the Constitution of India, be taken into consideration. 17. SHRIMATI VIPLOVE THAKUR to move that the Bill further to amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, be taken into consideration. (Scheduled Castes) Order 18. SHRI S. S. AHLUWALIA to move that the Bill to provide for the establishment of a Rivers Desiltation Authority for the purposes of carrying out desiltation exercises covering the major rivers and its tributaries for obtaining better management of water resources by deepening the river beds resulting in deceleration inflow of river waters into the ocean and for matters connected therewith, be taken into consideration. SHRI GIREESH KUMAR SANGHI to move that the Bill further to provide for the financial compensation, relief and rehabilitation to the victims and their dependents affected by terrorist violence of naxalites, maoists and other terrorist outfits operating in various parts of the country including those supported, sponsored and financed from across the borders through employment and other means and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto, be taken into consideration. SHRI BHARAT KUMAR RAUT to move that the Bill further to amend the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971, be taken into consideration. 21. SHRI KHEKIHO ZHIMOMI to move that the Bill to provide for the procedure for application of the Acts of Parliament in respect of the State of Nagaland and for matters connected therewith, be taken into consideration.
