Maybe not the most successful as far as fundraising (we won t have the final tally for a while,) but it was good seeing so many new members pitching in to help out. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success. As usual, the basket raffle was a big hit. I believe the participants appreciated having our Club members do the judging for the trophies. All I heard during the day were compliments about how well organized it was, and thanks from the attendees for our hosting it. A special thanks to Ed for again being our show chair, and to Mary for handling registration (with Dwight pitching in for tech support.) The July 1st deadline to register for Can-Am is fast approaching, so if you haven t registered yet, now s the time to do it. From the show of hands at the last meeting we have upwards of ten cars going, which would be a great turnout. We have members staying a both host hotels. As I write, this year s Mustang Nite at the Wexford Starlite Car Cruise is only a few days away, and the weather forecast is looking promising. We ll be there early to get a spot to set a canopy for the members. But if you want to park on feature row, come early as we can t save spaces this time. The June meeting at Roosevelt Grove in North Park was lots of fun, with plenty of food to go around. Thanks to all the members who brought goodies, especially Dwight & Mary and Jack. Due to Independence Day falling on a Wednesday, our next meeting will be on July 11th, this time at Monroeville Community Park. Directions are located on the Meetings Page of our website. This is the same location where we ll hold our August meeting & picnic, so if you ve never been there before, come on out to make sure you know how to find it! Keep those motors runnin, Ken

GPMC NEWS July 2012 Page 2 Minutes of June 6, 2012 Combined Board and General Meeting The combined meeting was called to order by Ken B., President, at 7:30 PM, at Roosevelt Grove, North Park. The sign-in sheet was passed around, and the 50/50 was sold by Mary H. New Members: Chris D. 2012 GT CA Special; Bill R. 2012 GT. Minutes: The May 2, 2012 Meeting Minutes were reviewed. It was moved by Larry R. and 2 nd by Mark Mo. to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Correspondence: None. Treasurer's Report: Jason U. reviewed income and expenses. Income consisted of GPMC dues, two new members MCA dues, merchandise sales, 50/50 raffle, and All Ford show registrations. Expenses were to Ken B. for reimburse-ment for two PVGP patron parking spaces and for a small invoice for postage for sending All Ford Powered Show flyers to be included in the latest TRCCC newsletter. It was moved by Andy S. and 2 nd by Cheryl B. to approve the Treasurer s Report. Motion carried. Membership: Mary reported we have three new members since our last meeting: Toni and Roger G., Jerry and Deb P., and Chuck and Esta W. We have 68 regular and 6 lifetime members. Newsletter: Andrew T. reported the deadline for the July Newsletter is June 15. Send photos, articles, and event info to him at gpmc.newsletter@yahoo.com. Merchandise: John reported he changed our supplier. We can get our merchandise within two to three weeks. The new supplier suggested shrinking the size of the design, which will save us some money. They will provide us with a sample and a decision will be made on the size. Webmaster: For Jennie, Ken reported we are averaging 190 hits a day. The highpoint was on Sunday, June 3, with 350. As of today, we had 500 hits. Also, continue to send your car pictures to Jennie. TRCCC: For Ron, Ken reported the TRCCC is aware of our tribute to Tom Cavataio at the All Ford Powered Show and asked if he (Ken) would write an article about Tom for their newsletter. MCA: Ed reported there will be a 50 th Anniversary celebration in Las Vegas and in Charlotte in tribute of Mustangs. The shows are planned for 2014 one at Charlotte Motor Sports Speedway and the other at Las Vegas Speedway over April 17 th. Both will have static car shows and driving events. The Birthday Party will be on Thursday (4/17/2014) so people can be home for the Easter weekend if they wish. If you joined MCA recently, please send Ed your MCA number and expiration date when you get it. Also, it is likely that Ford will plan something in the summer to announce the new models. Check the MCA website for ongoing info (www.mustang.org). Event Wrap-up: Ken reported that the May 6 th Spring Brunch Tour to Saltsburg and the Raspberry Acres Winery was a success. Twenty-five cars participated. Upcoming Events: Listed in the newsletter and on the website. Ed gave an update on the All Ford Powered Show, scheduled for Sunday, June 10, and named The Tom Cavataio Memorial Show. Tom s brother will be attending and possibly a spokesperson from the University of Pgh. Cancer Institute will be there. Registration is set from 9-11 AM. Approximately 55 cars are registered. Goodie bag stuffing is set for Friday, June 8, at Shults from 5-8 PM. Ed stated the club s Officers and Directors insurance premium notice was just received and became due June 1. It was moved by Ed S. and 2 nd by Andy S. to pay the premium. Motion carried. Ed discussed the short notice for paying the premium. Ed moved that next year s premium be approved before the notice is received and it was 2 nd by Mark Mo. Motion carried. Jason U. clarified that he will not be paying next year s premium now, only prior to the June 1, 2013 due date. Regarding Starlite, the Opening night was hugely attended; however, the June 1 st event was rained out. Parade starts at 11 AM. Participants are to be there at 10:00 AM. If any one is interested in participating, please let him know by June 22. Regarding the CanAm in Erie, the dates are July 13-15 and hosted by the Erie club (LEMOC). Ken encouraged members to make their reservations. Flyers and Registration forms are on the members-only page of our website. Registration is $20 and is due by July 1. The Vintage Grand Prix is scheduled for July 21-22. Flyers are available. Two Patron Parking spaces have been reserved. The club will try to get two spaces further to the right of where we ve been for the past two years. A prime Mustang section will be available on Saturday, July 21. Mark Mo. mentioned the charge for parking will be $30 for two days. If anyone is interested in attending the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival and Winery Tour (Sept 7-9), contact Dwight. Old Business: None New Business: Cheryl B. suggested that we consider adding a Cruise Corner, listing upcoming area car cruises, to the Newsletter. This was OK with Andrew.
