He was called to the bar in 2009, joining Chambers in 2010, since when he has established a busy practice both prosecuting and defending in the Crown Court. He is a Level 3 Prosecutor and, since 2015, has been briefed in a variety of high profile cases for the CPS CCU (complex casework unit). Having started his practice based in, Graham moved to York in 2013, allowing him to develop what is now a circuit-wide practice. R v D (2015) Prosecution of high profile and high value benefit fraud in case attracting national press attention in Teesside Crown Court. R v F (2013) Prosecution of aggravated burglary and s.18 offence in Crown Court. Issues as to application of hearsay provisions for witnesses in fear and further complex issues in relation to joint enterprise principles. R v H (2012) Led by Paul Greaney QC for defence in attempted murder trial in Carlisle Crown Court, a case attracting local and some national media attention following Attorney General s decision to refer sentence to the Court of Appeal.
