St. Padre Pio Assembly 2813 8/1/2018 [Edition 1, Volume 1] ST. PADRE PIO NEWSLETTER Message from the Faithful Navigator Tim Pettit FN Tim Pettit Sir Knights, The next few months coming up are going to be busy as we have several functions that need to be attended to. 1. The Flag Retirement ceremony in September (date TBD). Will need some Color Guard members with the boy scouts and someone to see if the VFW members can assist. 2. The VFW dinner in November will need some assistance. 3. The Assembly meet for the rosary at Ft. Logan on Veterans day November 11. 4. Last month the PFN Art Hinkel asked for SK to help out at the new VA hospital. They are still looking for volunteers to help. Please give some thought and consideration to help. Vivat Jesus Tim Pettit Notice Faithful Comptroller Ken Sharp has submitted his resignation due to health concerns. We need to find a replacement within the next few months so we can elect, bond, and have the new Comptroller fully on board by December. The primary responsibilities of the Comptroller are the billing and collection of dues, reconciliation of income and disbursements with the Faithful Purser, annual audit, and maintenance of membership records. The Faithful Comptroller is entitled to a fee of 8% of dues received. Additional information can be downloaded at: https://www.kofc.org/en/resources/service/council/10190_faithful_comptrollers_handbook.pdf Please contact Ken Sharp and/or Tim Pettit if you are interested or need any additional information.
