Basic things to prepare before you start studying Buy a cheap second hand bicycle on marktplaats or the commodity market Facebook group! Bank account Public transport card Housing can be found on kamernet or housinganywhere Get to know your city!
Your first week as a student in the Netherlands Usually the university organizes an introduction week to get to know the city Your study will also arrange some social activity prior to the start So do not worry you will meet a lot of people!
University life in the Netherlands Student life differs per city Only a few are campus based universities Majority have faculties throughout the city
Sport and student association There are lots of sport associations aimed for students ESN is the international student association in the city Some cities have Chinese student associations
What else to do in the Netherlands? There are lots of concerts, festivals, parties and sport events to attend! With Europe as the hinterland you can travel a lot during your stay Learn the Dutch language if you consider to start working in the Netherlands!
