ITAPA Since 2002 is ITAPA the biggest and best known event in Slovakia dealing with egovernment strategies, implementation of egovernment in public administration and all aspects of digitization of society. People come to ITAPA to find out about new trends, get inspired and meet IT experts from public and private sector. The event is happening twice a year: in May (Spring ITAPA) and November (ITAPA Congress) in best venues in Bratislava (Crowne Plaza Hotel Bratislava, Radisson SAS Carlton, Sheraton Hotel Bratislava). The events are held under the auspices of top government representatives, yet ITAPA remains an independent discussion platform for the IT community. Speakers Each year ITAPA events proudly welcome experts, professionals and political leaders in the field of information society and egovernment from Slovakia, Europe and the entire world. ITAPA Associated Events ITAPA Gala Dinner This social event takes place in the evening of first day of Congress in the finest hotels in Bratislava. CEOs, distinguished guests and top representatives of public administration meet to award winners of ITAPA Distinction Award and ITAPA V4 Award. 4 Smart Visegrad Project Together with partners from Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, ITAPA is forging the smart and innovative digital solutions in the Visegrad region in order to deal with social challenges on regional and urban level. The project aims to incorporate smart regions and smart cities concept into regional strategies. Project started in 2017 and project workshops are associated events taking place in the premises of ITAPA Congress. Since start of the project, ITAPA welcomes every year more and more participants from V4 countries. Cybertapa ITAPA Congress 2018 will bring also a workshop on cyber security organized in collaboration with National Security Authority, Slovakia.

ITAPA Distinction Awards ITAPA in cooperation with the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies STU in Bratislava every year launches a competition for the best projects in the field of public administration and society digitization. This competition aims to recognize and promote projects which: bring enhancement of communication of public administration towards citizen through new services or the improvement of already existing services, improve the quality, transparency and efficiency of processes and functioning of public administration, are remarkable by an effective and innovative approach to the modernization of society. The ITAPA Distinction Awards is awarded to Best Project of Digitisation of Society. In 2014 ITAPA Distinction Award started a unique cooperation with Radio Slovakia. Projects applying for ITAPA Award are presented to listeners of Radio Slovakia, who can then evaluate them. In this way, digital solutions are bring forth and rated by by ordinary citizens - the primary target group of these projects. In 2017 a new category was introduced: V4 ITAPA Award for projects from V4 countries using information and communication technologies to enhance governance & public services. ITAPA in cooperation with its V4 partners (EPMA - European projects and management agency, Silesian ICT Cluster, edemokrácia Műhely Egyesület) announces V4 ITAPA Award for the best smart city and innovative services for citizens and businesses projects in the Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia). The aim of this Award is to highlight the best and most innovative projects in the V4 countries that deserve recognition and can be a good inspiration for others. The aim is also to foster knowledge sharing and cooperation among the Visegrad countries. The ITAPA Distinction Awards ceremony takes place at the ITAPA Gala Dinner with the participation of Congress visitors and other invited VIP guests. 5
