Elect Pete Sinnott called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. He showed us a very short video on Rotarians titled, ChangeThe World. A small reminder of why we are all here! Invocation was given today by Ken Tessell, and Song and Pledge Leader was Marcia Yelick and in honor of the Rockies Opening Day on Monday and JR offering the first baseball raffle, we sang a rousing rendition of Take Me Out To the Ball Game. Play ball! Guest Introductions were given by Tom Anderson and we welcomed Harry Hutcherson s sister, Charlotte Lloyd, Bert Bergland s son Matt and Bruce Carmichael had Dr. John Cooper as his guest. Also, Susan Fereday brought her granddaughter Marley to the meeting today. A warm welcome to all! Jack Ford brought in a nice denim embroidered Rotary shirt, size large, that he will sell to the highest donor. Money from the purchase of the shirt will go to the Foundation. Any interested bidders should see Jack at the end of the meeting. JR told us the raffle has $90.00 in the pot this week, we ll know the winner next week after the first Rockies baseball game. Good luck! Announcements- Wayne Andersen told us the Duck Sorting will be held today, right after Rotary, at the storage locker on Woodstock Drive. It will only take about an hour. count the ducks. More info. to follow but if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Big Duck Marcia Logan told us that its now T-minus 38 days until the Duck Race!!! Whoo Hoo! There will be a Grand Opening of Duck Central today at 5. There will be a photo shoot, pizza, water and a few things to cover at this meeting. Marcia also told us that Dennis McHenry has the new Duck Race buttons and he has been busy passing them out. After this week, if you forget to wear your button, it will cost you a $1.00 donation for a new one! Marcia recounted a sweet story from a previous Duck Race when Mimi Hardendorf and Karla Van Drie rescued a real mama duck and her ducklings, who got caught up and separated in a whirlpool in the river during the Duck Race. Mimi and Karla were able to reunite the family for a happy ending! Sweet!
