Description Campaign to enhance awareness and reduce the discrimination against Roma: 1. a. Creation of a DVD and TV-Spot with an anti-discrimination social message. b. Dissemination (TV-SPOT) in Local channels, Local Newspapers, Web Newspapers 2. Festival «The Celebration of Spring». It included: - Actions and plays between children - Micro sound coverage (Music) - Video recording (Editing, Montaz) - Buffet for children

- Canvas of the Festival 3. Poster, Leaflets, T-Shirts with an anti-discrimination social message. The posters were used to inform people in Heraklion about the event of The Festival, leaflets were distributed with the main messages of the project and the upcoming events and T-shirts were distributed to all students, who participated in the festival. T-shirts will be distributed to the students in schools, when we disseminate the dvd in primary schools. Leaflets will also be distributed, in the kiosk during the social research. 4. Social Research and Kiosk include: - Questionaires - Research - Final Report - Destribution of leaflets 5. Presentation of DVD in primary schools to students. Partners Civil society, including Roma community, European institutions, local or regional Other CD If the action was developed within the framework of a European project «SPECIFIC PROGRAMME: FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND CITIZENSHIP 2007-2013 PROJECT: I AM ROMA: CHANGING MINDSETS Does the policy respond to a EU request and/or refer to EU Directive? Non Participation - A Roma representative participated at the local team meetings. - A Roma NGO visited Heraklion and participated in a meeting - Roma people participated in the creation of the SPOT - DVD Results obtained A number of schools, which received and used the DVD to children in public school classes - A number of people, who completed the social research - Dissemination of message TV-SPOT (quality indicator is sensitization of society) - The celebration of Spring Festival (quality indicator: the sensitization of children and quantity indicator: number of schools that participated) Long-term perspectives and sustainability of the action
