The study of political education problem is not only a theoretical speculation, but also a realistic response in social life. In today s world, the wave of information erupts like a storm, which has had an impact on people s political beliefs, behavioral habits and values. Political education is playing a fierce game and contest with massive network information, multiple network technology and virtual network space. This paper analyzes the development situation of political education in the new environment and tries to summarize and demonstrate the new characteristics and new trends of its development, namely: the interweaver of tradition and modernity, the unity of inheritance and transcendence, the incorporation of endophytism and multi-dimension, the combination of dominance and globalization, the alternation of repeatability and chronicity, and the development trend of modernization, socialization, internationalization, humanization and livelihood. In particular, this paper demonstrates the interaction mechanism between social life and political education development, which is a great innovation of this paper. Under the influence, we hope that the development of political education can play a role in the two-way interaction with social life, breaks through the traditional pattern of fetters, and forms a new pattern of political development. 1. Introduction In today s world, the wave of economic globalization is inevitable, the impact of market economy can t be avoided, the people s political participation and the pursuit of democratic consciousness have been gradually increasing, cultural and ideological values have diverse confrontation, social contradictions are sharply highlighted, and the development of science and technology network and new media can t be ignored. In such a complex social environment, the surging wave of information has making an impact on people s political beliefs, behavior habits and values, and political education is playing a fierce game and contest with massive network information, various network technology, and virtual network space. The development of political education also presents a new feature and trend, so this paper attempts to sum them up in order to look forward to building a new pattern of political development. 2. The new features presented by the development of political education in the new era In today s complex situation, the political education shows the development characteristics of the interweaver of tradition and modernity, the incorporation of conformity and multi-dimension, the combination of dominance and globalization, the alternation of repeatability and chronicity. 2.1 The intertwined development of tradition and modern In any era, the development of political education in any country reflects the characteristics of the integration of traditional elements and modern elements. For a nation and country, the traditional culture is its solid foundation and the source of modern civilization. The influence of values, moralities, customs, and political thoughts on people and society in the course of human history is indelible and still traces in modern society, as is the case of ideological and political education. The development of political education should not only take into account the accumulation function of traditional culture in individual and society, and the development of political education is rooted in the fertile soil of traditional civilization. Therefore, for the traditional political education, it can t be completely negative for all of them to abandon, nor for its full 731

positive, promising to carry forward in a wholesale affirmative pattern and the development of contemporary political education is still showing the characteristics of the traditional characteristics. In today s world, modernization is treading on the heal of accompanying by the acceleration of industrialization, which promotes the social change and the civilization progress, and affects the development direction of social economy, system, culture, and other aspects. Ideological and political education also gives expression to the characteristics of modernity. On the one hand, the exoteric concept and environment have created the content, method, theory, system and management of ideological and political education developing from a single form to diversified trend. This is a response to the development of society and individual diversification. On the other hand, the transformation of ideology and behavior from the tradition to the modernization determines that the development trend of ideological and political education is to meet people s actual needs, that is, the direction of modernization. Of course, it can t be generalized for the traditional and modern value judgments, the tradition does not mean falling behind, and the modernization is not certain advancement. The value of tradition and modernization is reflected in the influence of social development and giving play to its social function. Only the factors, or modernization or tradition that plays a positive role in the social development and human growth, can be called advancement. It is unscientific and unreasonable to over-extoll the tradition and to over-worship the modern world, as well as to over-abandon the tradition and to over-criticize the modernization. 2.2 Simultaneous development of endophytism and extensionality The development of the inherent nature, structure and contradiction of political education is the source power of political education development, and fundamentally determines the direction, progress and result of political education development. The endogenous development of political education is reflected in that the development of political education is its endogenous needs, and the core is that the shaping of human political beliefs is to achieve the expectant level and to realize the enhancement of political education level. Around this core, the development of political education is not only to achieve development, but also to implement the overall progress of society through mutual penetration. Of course, the development of social economy, politics, culture and other aspects also restrict and challenge the political education development, so that it constantly adjusts the internal elements coordination and mechanism operation in order to achieve the coordinated and sustainable development in all directions. Because of the interrelations and effects of political education and the situation of time and space and social conditions, in the process of mutual penetration with other areas of society, political education has achieved its expansion to the macro field and micro field. From the macroscopic point of view, the modernization constructions of various countries have inspired the political education function and influence. The country s political construction, economic construction and social construction have become the theme of political education in various countries in the world today. From the microscopic point of view, the new mass media environment and globalization have brought about the new competitive landscape, and the development of network communication technology has resulted in a new change in human lifestyle, showing a diversified development tendency, which has promoted the development of political education deeply pay attention to individual psychology, behavior and other micro-areas, opening up a new field of education, developing a new branch of discipline, which is the embodiment of political education development. 2.3 The combination development of dominance and globalization Political education belongs to the category of superstructure, and plays the function of ideology. With respect to other political work and education work, political education is in the guidance, steering and leading status, and plays a dominant and guiding role, stipulating the nature and development direction of other work. In today s world, the situation is complicated, political multipolarization and economic globalization is gradually deepening, and the struggle in the ideological field is becoming more and more intense. There is an urgent need for political education 732

to maintain and build its own leading position in the process of development, endowing the new connotations and requirements in the process of economic and social development. Today s society is a society in which economy, politics, culture and science and technology are rapidly developing and integrating. The objective trend of globalization can t be avoided. The influx of foreign cultures, thoughts and values is the unavoidable problem for the political education in the development process. World culture has entered into the development period of mutual integration, mutual reference, mutual conflict, and mutual penetration. This has provided both opportunities and challenges for political education to play its leading role. On the one hand, the political education has broadened the development horizons, expanded the educational function, improved the educational means, and increased the effectiveness of education in global multi-cultural background. On the other hand, social environment of network pluralism has shocked the dominant role of political education, the dominance and diversification of political education are in imbalanced convergence, at the back of the money worship, the psychological imbalance and the concealment of education breed by negative factors of foreign culture, the dominant ideology is competed. The development of political education on the one hand is committed to the dominant persistence, on the other hand is devoted to achieving integration in the global, which is a significant feature for the development of political education in the current context of globalization. 2.4 The coexistence development of repeatability and chronicity The formation of people s political character and political belief is the process of spiral development and constant change. The political education activities are also the development process of going and returning in following a circle, showing the coexistence development characteristics of repetition and chronicity. Of course, the repetition of the political education development is not a simple mechanical repeatability, moulding a political person not through simple repetitive mold manufacturing mass production process. It is to achieve the basic goal of political education in the long-term repetitive process to review and correct, influencing, educating, and nurturing people in line with the new situation, combining the new content, and using the new ways. At the same time, the improvement and enhancement of people s political identity and political beliefs is a long process. The change of people s world outlook is chronic, and the transformation of people s political ideology also needs a process, they can t be accomplished the whole task at one stroke, and can t get good results temporarily. The promotion of a person s political beliefs requires multiple educations, and it should be accumulated over a long period, and proceeds in an orderly way and step by step, to achieve a qualitative leap through the accumulation of quantity. Therefore, the development of political education is also a long-term historical process, in the premise of respect of human growth, to realize the harmony and unity of political education development and individual growth. 3. The new trend of contemporary political education development The development of contemporary political education presents the development trend of modernization, socialization, humanization and lifelization. 3.1 Modernization Today s world is still in the process of modernization, various countries in the world is committed to realizing the transformation of development from the traditional economy to the modern economy, from the traditional politics to the modern politics, from the traditional civilization to the modern civilization, and from the traditional society to the modern society. It objectively requires that political education must move towards in the direction of modernization, otherwise it will be unbalanced in the development of society. The modernization of political education includes the modernization of the concept of political education, the modernization of the content, the modernization of the means, and the modernization of the mechanism, on this account, to respond to the trend of economic globalization, the transformation of social modernization, the requirements of times development, and the support of system specification construction. 733

3.2 Socialization Political education s social integration indicates that the political education activity as a unified organic whole integrates with the social development, and ultimately blends into the important structure of social operation. Political education itself is inextricably linked with the social system. On the one hand, the occurrence of political education has a profound social root, showing a profound dependence on society. The development depends on social changes, and the social operation has a profound impact on political education. Marx and Engels says: The production way of material life restricts the process of social life, political life and spiritual life [1]. The realistic basis which is formed of social and economic structure in every age, the religion, philosophy and other forms of superstructure in every historical period, after all the final analysis should be from the foundation to illustrate [2]. With the change of economic base, all the huge superstructures are still in slow or fast changes.[3] On the other hand, with the advancement of the modern social transformation process, the social structure is fully adjusted, the social system becomes more and more complicated, so the political education activities are needed to carry out political identification education of the state and society for all the members of society to realize effective social governance. However, as an individual, person starts to move towards social life, to achieve objective needs under subjectivity in the process of growing. Marx says: Man has finally become the owner of his own society, and thus become the master of nature, and their own master free people. In this way, the subjective active participation and integration into the social needs has had an impact on the political education into the social development process. Therefore, in the context of the current more complex social environment, profound adjustment of social structure, constant social changes, and social relations system integration, it has become an inevitability that political education integrates into socialization. 3.3 Humanization The process of democratization and legalization requires that political education develops into the direction of humanization. Politics is the concentrated reflection of the economy, with the economic and social development and the progress of political process, people s democratic consciousness and subjective consciousness continue to increase, which requires the establishment of democratic and political operation modes can achieve mutual promotion of political education patterns. As the individuals of political participation, people s requirements and expectations of political education also show the trend of democratization along with the advancement of democratic political construction. Therefore, the development of political education will gradually center on the transformation from the interests of the ruling class and the governing party to the needs of the members of society and the masses, people-oriented, that is, the development of humanization. 3.4 Lifelization The new changes of environment and the new needs of individual development require that the progress of political education organically integrates with individual life. The lifelization of political education development is to blend political education activities into the various life segments of education objects, aiming at realizing the construction of individual interpersonal communication, life style and other areas of political education. Marx says: The essence of man is not an abstraction inherent in a single person, and it is the sum of all social relations in its reality. [5] Moreover, political education centers on people who are the sum of social relations, it is precisely because people is specific, dynamic and developmental in social environment, which determines that the development of people-oriented political educational practice activities will eventually go into the community and the people s social life. With the development of society, political education needs to incorporate people in social life and people s social life into the horizon of study. In virtue of social life, political education practice will be gradually extended into social life, searching for effective path to realize the organic integration of the two. The socialization of the development of political education will be deeply embedded individuals in various social systems and social relations, and the development of humanization of political education will serve people as the basic starting point and foothold of political education progress. It can be said that the 734

socialization of social education and humanization development determine the lifelization trend of political education development. 4. Conclusion Political education is both a theoretical problem and a practical problem. Therefore, the study of political education problem is not only to carry out theoretical speculation, but also to seek for a realistic response in the social life. Today, the world has entered into a period of mutual integration, mutual reference, mutual conflict and mutual penetration. In this context, the development of political education presents the development characteristics of combination of tradition and modernization, an incorporation of endophytism and multidimension, a coexistence of dominance and globalization, an alternation of repeatability and chronicity, highlighting the development trend of modernization, socialization, humanization, and lifelization. The development of political education is a continuous progressive dynamic development process, which means that it will break the traditional education pattern. On the one hand, the development of political education should be moderately adjusted with the development and change of people s social life, neither pulling ahead nor lagging behind. On the other hand, the development of political education fits in other social practices of social life from the macroscopic aspect, and infiltrates in the human heart and blends into the individuals political ideology, ideas, values and beliefs from the microscopic aspect. In other words, it is no longer a one-way, passive negative adaptation and accommodation between today s political education and social life, but to regard cultivating and shaping political people as the fundamental task, and it gives the overall progress of society a prospective guidance and orientation. In this connection, we also hope that the initiative two-way interaction between political education and social life can make the differences, and forms a new pattern of political development. 5.
