Each Country can send a maximum of 10 participants to the forum, preferences will be given to the participants indicated by the organizations members of the IFBDO and when possible, to other applicants in order of inscription date. Participation fee and other costs The participation fee for every delegate is 175 (one hundred and seventy five) euros and it covers housing in the hotel from 28 th to 31 st of August, three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), transportation from/to Catania Airport, excursion on Etna Volcano. The deadline for inscriptions and fee payment by bank transfer is July 10 th 2008. We will not accept any registration nor bank transfers after these dates. Remember that your registration will be only valid once we have received both your inscription form and the confirmation of that the participation fee has been transferred to us. Please note that you have to pay your own transportation costs all the way to Italy and back, as well as any other travel expense in the days before or after the Forum. Market, workshops and lectures Make to sure to prepare your delegation members to fully participate in the activities. Give them material, information about your organization and the projects being done, provide an opportunity for these young people to meet before the forum, etc. Make sure that your young people speak at least one of the working languages of FIODS (English, French or Spanish) and especially english. There won t be any official translators (only some volunteers). Note: A) If you need extra arrangements / equipment for your speeches / presentations please let us know on time. B) Bring with you traditional music of your country and be prepared to teach the other participants how to dance and sing it. Visa Foreign citizens participating to the event will be showing the necessary documents to the customs which explain the reasons and the duration of stay and in some cases, also financial availability and accommodation s conditions of the participant. Depending on each participant s citizenship and country of residence, he/she may need to apply for a visa presenting all the documents required to the Italian Diplomatic Representations and Consulates of his/her country of residence. Avis (Italian Voluntary Blood Donor Association) asked the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassies to cooperate in order to facilitate the procedure for Visa applicants. 4

That is the link where each participant will find all the visa information selecting his/her citizenship, country of residence, duration of stay and reason for visit (in our case it will be TOURISM ): www.esteri.it/visti/home_eng.asp The list of each country with the names, birthdays and birthplaces of the participants, will be sent by AVIS to the Italian Diplomatic Representations abroad in order to give the adequate assistance to Visa applicants. Considering the long procedure for the issue of Visas (up to 90 days), it would be necessary to send as soon as possible the official inscription to the forum. Hotel, food, drinks and other things You will be accommodated in rooms of two, three or four persons in each room. If you already know whom you would like to share the room with let us know, otherwise we are making the accommodation plans ourselves. The meals will be served at the restaurant of the hotel. The Hotel is situated in Catania, where you can find anything you may need. Note: The temperature in Italy this time of the year is between 25-35 C. So we advise you to bring sun block and swimming suits. Extra days in Italy If there are reasons for you to stay some extra days in Italy before or after the forum (such as lack of planes from/to your country on the exact dates) or if you want to see more of this wonderful country, please let us know! The local hosts can help you to organize your extra days at your own expense.
