ATHLETIC DIRECTOR PRINCIPAL SUPERINTENDENT SHORE CONFERENCE OF HIGH SCHOOLS EXECUTIVE MEETING Manchester Township High School I. The meeting was called to order by President Joe Arminio 9:23 a.m. II. ROLL CALL: Rusty Todd, Past President Rich Carroll, President-Elect Jason Corley, B-North Will Sundermann, B South Chuck Donohue- A South Vito Chiaravalloti, A North John DeGenito, A Central Bernard Bragen, Mon. Supt. Non-voting members present: Keith Lister, Secretary Mike Walsh, Historian Tennant Magee, Attorney Jim Rochford, Tournament Director Dave Ryden, Web Master Jim Rochford, Tornament Director Joe Montano, Treasurer Randy Westrol, Asst. Scheduler Nick Pizzulli, Scheduler Rick Handschen, At-Large Harry Chebookjian, At-Large Chris Lanzalotto, At Large III. Minutes from the Executive Meeting of August 11, 2016 were approved by a motion from Will Sunderman, seconded by Rich Carroll. APPROVED: 9-0 IV. TREASURER S REPORT: Trust Fund Account: $33,490.51 Checking Account: TD Bank $77,272.77 Total Outstanding (2015-16) $3,268.00.

Page 3 V. REPORT FROM ADMINISTRATORS Dr. Bragen will be meeting with Superintendents tomorrow to encourage PD for Athletic Administrators. Questions rose about Unified Sports regarding track this spring 2017. Information from NJSIAA will be turn keyed. VI. ORDER OF BUSINESS a. Schedulers Report No Report b. DAANJ Report PD available through DAANJ will be shared with new AD s at the general meeting. Copy of all DAANJ Awards given will be distributed as well. DAANJ website has undergone recent changes. c. Tournament Managers Report Brief meeting for all tournament directors will be held after the general meeting tomorrow. Wrestling tournament directors would like to make the SCT tournament individual rather than team. It would take 2 days, with 6 matches at most per wrestler. Just in discussion phase. d. Webmaster: Proper information for the website will be distributed tomorrow. Many people are going to the wrong site for information. New twitter handle @shoresports_nj. Will need help uploading pictures. e. Historian: No Report f. Rules & Regulations: No Report VII. REPORT FROM NJSIAA Schools are being given double points for playing powerhouse schools up north. Schools are being sought to host wrestling regions/districts. Future might lead to individual district tournament, not team. Top 4 region place winners go to A.C. 5 th and 6 th place winners would have to wrestle back. We confirmed that we do have reps. Going to the NJSIAA Executive Meetings.Dr. George (Monmouth) and Dr. Smith (Ocean). VIII. REPORT FROM AT-LARGE MEMBERS No Reports IX. REPORT FROM DIVISION VICE PRESIDENTS A North Question arose about paying assignors. Conference recommends only. A South Met and set up dates for the year. B North Met and set up dates for the year. B South Met and set up meeting dates for the entire year. A Central Professional Orthopedics is looking for Board approval to attend football games. B Central No Report

Page 4 X. OLD BUSINESS a. Constitution Rules/Revisions Need to see if Bill Loughran has anything done. b. Ocean County Principal representative approved. Steve Nichol from Barnegat will join the Committee in October. Motion by Will Sunderman, seconded by Rusty Todd. ROLL CALLVOTE: APPROVED 9-0. XI. NEW BUSINESS a. Ice Hockey Tournament Director Position vacated by R. Handchen. We ll seek to fill this for October. b. Program Of Excellence Dave Ryden would like to start recognizing schools that go above and beyond for the community at large. Southern Regional will be nominated by Dave. c. Touchdown Club at Donovan was promoting a meet the coaches night for the pop warner and allowing access to facilities, locker rooms, players, etc. Flyer forwarded to NJSIAA. Joe Gomulka was notified and indicated he would not hold the event. d. Mater Dei Prep vs. Highland Park. After initial protest to not play the game, GMC officials spoke to HP and they agreed to play. GMC did send a letter to NJSIAA regarding MD. e. President Arminio did meet with MD reps and discussed the Conference rules and regulations. MD admitted to having out of state transfers on their roster but indicated there are other schools doing the same thing. They also indicated they have scholarships that are given out on a need basis. f. Hoof & Mouth Disease. Discussion on the need to clean and sanitize equipment and locker rooms. g. National Anthem Protests Discuss with your Superintendent how you might best handle this if it occurs at your school. h. Open track entries: Discussion on an idea from a conference coach to allow more than 5 entries for each race which would result in more heats for each race potentially. No movement on proposal. i. Basketball Official Letter Will Sunderman will contact officials group to confirm the correct process. Committee wants to be sure that officials are assigned equally and that 3 man requests are not given priority over 2 man, as some interpreted the letter. j. Brief meeting for new AD s after the general meeting tomorrow. k. Townsquare Media will create a banner to use at the events they cover for the Conference. This banner will not be shared with any other media outlet. This will be confirmed by Counsel l. Shore Conference Awards: Service Award will be named for Walt Reiser. Lifetime Achievement Award will be named for Skip Magee. Dave Ryden will chair a committee that includes Chuck Donahue, Mike Walsh and Harry Chebookjian. XII. REPORT OF COUNSEL - TENNANT MAGEE a. Professional Orthopedics should get a cease and desist letter if they claim to have Conference endorsement. b. No entity should us our trademark without consent and written agreement. c. Ocean lacrosse tort claim was handled. d. Constitution could have language that requires documents given if requested. President Arminio recommended this go to committee first.

Page 5 XIII. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Executive Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 11:23pm on motion by Jason Corley Seconded by Chuck Donohue. APPROVED: 9-0.
