This event is a demonstration. All notion of competition or speed is formally excluded. There shall be no timing of individual or accumulated laps to establish rankings. The sole objective of this event is to provide pleasure with no unnecessary taking of risks, the aim being to drive steadily and safely in order to preserve the cultural heritage of these vehicles. 1.1.P. SCHEDULE Monday 12nd March 2018: Specific Regulation publication Monday 27 th August 2018: Publication of the participants pre-list Friday 14th September 2018: Closing date of entries Friday 28th September 2018: Publication of the participants official list 2
Friday 28th September 2018 Installation in the paddock from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Ø 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Participants welcome, vérifications administrative document checks, fitting of plates and demonstrations numbers Ø 7:00 pm: Closing administrative checks. Ø 8:00 pm: Publication of the series (Demonstrations). Saturday 29th September 2018 Ø 8:30 am: Compulsory Briefing for the Drivers. Ø 9:00 am: Official opening of the race track. Ø 9:30 am to 10:00 pm: Demonstrations. *Track closed to participants 12.20pm-2pm & 7.20pm-8pm (Except for manufacturers, events and the Aguttes presentation) Sunday 30th September 2018 Ø 8:30 am: Official opening of the race track. Ø 9:00 am to 6:00 pm: Demonstrations. Ø 6:15 pm: Closing Parade. Ø 6:45 pm: Closing of the race track Closing of the event. *Race track closed to participants from midday to 2:00 pm (Except for manufacturers and various events events) 1.2.P. CHECKS Administrative checks - At the entrance to the Autodrome The participants and their passengers must enter the administrative checks with their driving licence Scrutineering: No technical checks will take place for LGHA 2018. 3
However, the organisation is counting on everyone to behave in a responsible, sensible way when participating in this great celebration of motoring, by ensuring that their vehicle is in perfect condition and guaranteeing the safety of its occupants and other track users. The track management team reserves the right to exclude any vehicle deemed to be dangerous. Moto / Side-car : Vérifications techniques Dans le paddock All motorcyclists must present their motorbike and its equipment to the vehicle inspector who will affix a marking entitling track entry. Car and Motorbike: Please check: Remember to check: Ø The braking and steering components, making sure there are no oil leaks ( leaked oil collecting device). Ø The condition of the tyres required for this type of track. Ø That the accessories are properly fastened and that there are no dangerous pointed, protruding or sharp parts (protection). Ø To remove wing mirrors or put sticky tape onto the mirrors. Ø To remove or fit lateral and central stands. Ø That the relevant safety conditions are met and that the required accessories are present in your vehicle if you have asked the organisation s permission to carry a passenger, and that a recommended fire extinguisher has been fitted. Any participant entering the track with a vehicle which does not correspond to the vehicle described on the entry form risks immediate expulsion and legal proceedings in the event of an incident on the track. ARTICLE 2P. COMPETITORS AND PILOTS 2.1.P. ENGAGEMENT Entry Application closing date is planned on Friday 14th September 2018 at midnight (to be postmarked before midnight). 2.2.P. SAFETY On the track Ø It is forbidden to stop the vehicle on the track (except technical problems). Ø It is forbidden to walk on the track. Ø In case of breakdown or minor accident, the driver has to step his vehicle aside, as far from the track as he can. Ø Strict respect of the track and flags commissioners. 4
Car Equipment Ø Compulsory protective equipment and clothing for the participants and passengers that must cover the arms and legs entirely. Ø A period racing suit (optional) or overalls and clothing made from non-synthetic material fitting tightly around the wrists and ankles. Ø A helmet complying with the F.F.S.A. standards is compulsory. Ø Fireproof or leather gloves and shoes, no perforations. Ø Synthetic or acrylic clothes as well as synthetic or rubber shoes are forbidden. Motorbike equipment Ø A standard helmet, Ø Good quality leather gloves, Ø Leather boots, Ø A leather suit, Ø An item fitted with a back protector to provide good protection in the event of falls or accidents. Ø Any participant whose outfit is deemed inadequate shall not be allowed to enter the track. 2.3. COMMUNICATION Ø The Les Grandes Heures 2018 organiser may mention your attendance on the website on the 2017 Participants section and on our Facebook / Instagram / Twitter pages. o Surname o First name o Or your team name or alias if you wish o Brand, model and year of your car o Photos in jpeg Ø Please inform us if you do not want us to mention your information ARTICLE 3P. ELIGIBLE VEHICLES EQUIPMENTS 3.1.P. ELIGIBLE VEHICLES Are allowed on the event authentic cars and motorbikes of all years, considered by the organiser as representing a particular interest in the renown of «Les Grandes Heures Automobiles». The organiser may not allow a vehicle which does not conform to the spirit and appearance of its reference period. 5
3.2.P. START NUMBERS Will be given at the administrative checks and according to the current regulations and additional clauses. ARTICLE 4P. RUNNING OF THE EVENT Race circuit: The Linas Montlhéry 3,405 track as well as the 2.5 km ring for night-time racing, including 4 chicanes, starting in the presence of a security car. Demonstrations will be conducted clockwise on the Saturday & Sunday. 4.1.P. GENERAL DISPOSITIONS Each vehicle will be driven at least 4 times, in homogeneous series, over the course of the weekend (4 times for cars and 3 times for motorbikes). One or two participants may take turns at the wheel (only if their names have been written on the entry application) but no change is authorized during a set. Each driving session will last 20 minutes. ATTITUDE ON THE TRACK: All notion of competition or speed is strictly excluded and timing is forbidden during the event. The drivers shall respect this state of mind and limit their pace. They shall take into account the difficulties of the track, respect other drivers, respect the braking distances, and the tracks and road markings presented by the stewards. On proposal of the Clerk of the Race Track, the panel of the stewards may disqualify, for the whole length of the event, any driver considered dangerous. Non-observance of the chicanes will result in exclusion from the round and in the event of a second offence in exclusion from the whole show. 4.2.P. DRIVERS BRIEFING Compulsory briefings are organized on Saturday 29th September at 8:30 am 4.3.P. PARTICULAR DISPOSITIONS 4.3.1.P. Starting Order In each sets, the starts will be given at the Clerk of the Race Track s discretion. 4.4.P. DECHARGE DE RESPONSABILTE By signing this document, I hereby absolve the organiser from responsibility for any damage to the vehicle and property of which I am the owner, renter, custodian or guardian. 6
