BUSINESS OUT OF MINUTES.1 Abbotsford Racquets Club, 34485 Old Yale Road - Development Variance Permit No. 1013 Report No. 95-198 dated July 12, 1995 from the Manager, Current Development recommended approval of Development Variance Permit No. 1013, to allow for the construction of a patio 2.64 m from the southern lot line rather than the required 3 m. The owners have agreed to the contents of the permit and surrounding property owners and occupiers had been notified that they may comment on the proposal.

Zalot's complaint concerning the Here's Abbotsford Guide;.13 Correspondence dated July 6,1995 from P. Hanna commending the Parks Department on the landscaping of Mac1ure Road between Gladwin Road and Clearbrook Road;.14 UBCM Releases providing information on: Impacts of Bill 55 on Local Government; and Introduction of new legislation. R498-95 CARRIED. With reference to item 5.1.4, the issue of stipends was discussed as they related to service by Councillors on Boards, Committees and Regional Districts. Moved by Councillor Wiebe, seconded by Councillor Gibson, that the issue of stipends be reviewed and discussed at an upcoming Executive Committee meeting. R499-95 CARRIED. With reference to item 5.1.2, two recommendations of the Abbotsford Traffic Safety Advisory Committee were discussed. Moved by Councillor Warawa, seconded by Councillor Ross, that staff prepare a report on which municipal streets currently have speed limits that do not meet the criteria used to justify designated speed limits. R500-95 CARRIED.

BY-LAWS.1 By-law No. 100-95, District of Abbotsford Official Community Plan By-law No. 864-1985, Amendment By-law - Establishes an Advance Street Plan for the Area South of Highway No.1 and Adjacent to Highway No. 11 Sweeney, that By-law No. 100-95, cited as "District of Abbotsford Official Community Plan By-law No. 864-1985, Amendment By-law", now be introduced and read a first time. R502-95 CARRIED. Opposed: Councillor Boyes Moved by Councillor Wiebe, seconded by Councillor Robertson, that By-law No. 100-95 is consistent with the most recent capital expenditure program, waste management plan, and economic strategy plan. NEW BUSINESS.1 District of Tumbler Ridge - Resolution - Inability to Sell Mobile Homes in Tax Sales Moved by Councillor Warawa, seconded by Councillor Robertson that, as requested in correspondence dated June 29, 1995 from the District of Tumbler Ridge, Council support a resolution to UBCM regarding the inability to sell mobile homes in tax sales. R504-95 CARRIED..2 Shinerama - 1995 Shinerama Days - September 16 to 20, 1995 Moved by Councillor Gibson, seconded by Councillor Sweeney that, as requested in correspondence dated June 26, 1995 from Shinerama, September 16 to 20, 1995 be proclaimed "1995 Shinerama Days", with the proviso that Shinerama be advised that car washes be set up in service stations where the water drains into the sanitary sewer. R505-95 CARRIED. Opposed: Councillor Warawa.3 Canadian Diabetes Association - Canvassing - November 1 to 15, 1995 Boyes that, as requested in correspondence dated July 10, 1995, permission be granted for the Canadian Diabetes Association to canvass door-to-door in the City of Abbotsford from November 1 to 15, 1995.
