Between 1993 and 2007 he also was a staff member of the American Studies Department in Nijmegen, where he lectured on American Foreign Policy. In 1994, he stayed at the American University in Washington DC and participated in the Summer Institute on the American Political System set up by the American University and the American Political Science Association APSA. As an Erasmus Exchange Teacher since 1997, he has lectured on international relations and organizations at various European universities, among them Agder University College in Kristiansand, Norway, and the Institut d Études Politiques IEP in Grenoble, France (2004-2012). Presently he is a Fellow and Senior Researcher at the Department of Public Administration and Political Science of Radboud University Nijmegen. As Senior Researcher he was a senior member of the Netherlands Institute of Government NIG (the Dutch Research School for Public Administration and Political Science) and is a member of the Institute for Management Research IMR of the Nijmegen School for Management. Bob Reinalda has published about autonomous policy making of, decision making within and implementation by international organizations (IOs), both intergovernmental and nongovernmental. He has published the Routledge History of International Organizations: From 1815 to the Present Day (2009) and has edited the Ashgate Research Companion to Non-State Actors (2011) and the Routledge Handbook of International Organization (2013). His present research focuses on Executive Heads of International Organizations, International Secretariats and leadership by Executive Heads. Editorial Functions Bob Reinalda is an Editor of IO BIO, the Biographical Dictionary of Secretaries-General of International Organizations (see www.ru.nl/fm/iobio), together with Kent J. Kille, The College of Wooster, Ohio and Jaci Eisenberg, The Graduate Institute, Geneva. IO BIO provides short biographies of individual Executive Heads, both lives and careers, which are structured in a consistent manner to also provide descriptions of the social and professional connections of these individuals (prosopographies). His entries include Joseph Avenol, Marcolino Gomes Candau, Sicco Leendert Mansholt, James Grover McDonald, Dirk Uipko Stikker, Gerrit Jan van Heuven Goedhart and Hendrikus Johannes Witteveen. Since 1997, he has been a Co-Editor of the Biografisch Woordenboek van het Socialisme en de Arbeidersbeweging in Nederland, BWSA (Biographical Dictionary of the Socialist and Labour Movement in the Netherlands). Bob Reinalda is an Editorial Board Member of JIOS, Journal of International Organization Studies; ERIS, European Review of International Studies (for international organizations);

He also is a co-editor of the book series The World of Political Science. He has written book reviews in several journals and has been a book referee for publishers, such as Ashgate, Oxford University Press, Routledge, Springer and Taylor & Francis and has reviewed research proposals for the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research NOW, the European Science Foundation ESF, the Research Council of Norway and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Memberships He is a member of the Dutch Political Science Association NKWP (and was its Secretary/Treasurer between 2000 and 2005), the International Political Science Association IPSA (and is an Executive Committee Member of the IPSA Research Committee 33 on the Study of Political Science as a Discipline since 2009), the International Studies Association ISA (and was a member-at-large of its IO Section between 2011 and 2014) and the History of International Organizations Network HION.
