This transitory team is set up to oversee the roadmap process and facilitate discussion among chapters. NET members are based in 4 different MdMs (Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain). The team uses an internal empowerment methodology recognising the added value and individual needs of each chapter. It promotes opportunities to produce and share common knowledge. WHAT IS THE ROADMAP? 15 PRESIDENTS who approve and oversee the Roadmap. 1 ROADMAP STEERING COMMITTEE (Executive Directors - EDs) who guide the process. 3 STEERING GROUPS (SGs) - IDENTITY / GOVERNANCE - POSITIONING - GROWTH & FUNDRAISING WHAT A project fostering closer international collaboration and dialogue within the MdM network. WHY To provide more effective action, stronger global influence and greater organisational stability. WHEN 2016-2019 In 2016, Doctors of the World s international network embarked on a common strategic roadmap to increase the overall impact of its actions. In 2017, the former DRI (International Network Directorate, Paris-based) became the NET (Network Empowerment Team) with a transfer of management from Paris to Madrid. Each group is chaired by an ED and works with thematic communities. 7 THEMATIC COMMUNITIES Communication Advocacy Human resources Finance Fundraising Operation (DirOps) Security Almost 200 MdM actors are involved in developing the strategic Roadmap to provide a structured space for discussion and governance.

WORK IN PROGRESS 2016-2019 POSITIONING GLOBAL VOICE PROTOCOL, to develop a process to agree on public positions. NETWORK-WIDE INITIATIVE, to foster cross-chapter engagement and one strong global identity around Gender- Based Violence (GBV). GROWTH & FUNDRAISING IDENTITY & GOVERNANCE BOARD BEST PRACTICES & MINIMUM STANDARDS (BBPMS), document approved in October 2017. The different MdM chapters are supported to implement the BBPMS until 2019. NETWORK GOVERNANCE MODEL, to ensure optimal operational impact and shared leadership. DRAFT OF THE RESOURCE SHARING AGREEMENT (RSA), a set of principles, criteria and mechanisms for financial resources sharing to allow growth and stability of the network. OPERATIONS EMERGENCY OPERATIONS FRAMEWORK, approved in October 2017. Guidelines and processes to be developed for each topic (HR, logistic, finance, etc).
