The name comes from the many ways that paper and paper-based packaging help us re_use, re_cycle, re_new, re_plant, and re_duce waste. This new social feed allows us to bridge between consumer and industry information and share our industry's environmental, products and innovation successes with both an industry and consumer audience. #PoweredByPaper Shakes Up High-Tech South By I have heard for years about South by Southwest in Austin, the interactive festival known for debuting companies that would become household names, such as Twitter and Uber. Two weeks ago, we took the Paper & Packaging How Life Unfolds (HLUF) campaign to South By and set up a 100% corrugated booth that featured a curated collection of paper and cardboard innovations that made up the #PoweredByPaper gallery. Read more at www.paperandpackaging.org/pulpmagic CAPs Corner To all of you who submitted products to the Powered by Paper interactive online gallery during SXSW THANK YOU. The onsite digital interface was available for attendees to learn more about each and every one of you. The questions, comments and curiosity from attendees was overwhelmingly positive and engaging! The online gallery received 10,000 views during SXSW and numerous scrolls onsite in Austin. Your tweets, posts, re-tweets, re-posts and shares helped amplify the message that paper-based materials can create some of the most innovative items around. Thank you!
Reminder: The Annual CAPs Summit in D.C. is Wednesday, May 10, with a welcome dinner on Tuesday, May 9. This annual event is the perfect time to gather face-to-face with industry peers for the chance to learn more about the campaign performance, get inspired from guest speakers and of course, share and collaborate marketing/social content! Join us the night before, May 9 for a special "thank you" event for all of your hard work this past year. D.C.'s desirable spring weather is the perfect backdrop for the festivities such as a waterfront cocktail hour and dinner! Please contact Lindsey directly so she can reserve your hotel room before the hotel's April 11 deadline. We recommend flying in/out of Reagan National Airport as that is the closest to the hotel.
