REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION November 27, 2018 The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of the Johnson City Central School District, held in the Auditorium of the Johnson City High School, 666 Reynolds Road, Johnson City, Broome County, New York was called to order by Vice President Matyas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Vice President Matyas led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Upon roll call, Board Members present: Nicholas J. Matyas, Vice President Jeannette Farr, Trustee Heather Gaughan, Trustee Matthew Jablonowski, Trustee Richard G. Martinez, Trustee Stephen Barrows, Trustee Member absent: Also present were: Shannon M. Edmondson, President Mary Kay Roland, Superintendent; Eric Race, Assistant Superintendent for Administration; Joseph Guccia, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, Accountability; and Jalynn Doig, Board Clerk. WELCOME Vice President Matyas and Superintendent Roland welcomed the visitors in attendance. MOTION: Trustee Jablonowski SECOND: Trustee Matyas CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY - At 7:02 p.m. the Regular Meeting was recessed to hold the Public Hearing on the Renewal 20/20 Referendum. PUBLIC HEARING 2018-19 SCHOOL BUDGET Vice President Matyas called the Public Hearing to order at 7:02 p.m. Mary Kay Roland, along with Dave Degnon from Highland Associates and Mike Schusda from Fiscal Advisors, gave a presentation on the proposed Renewal 20/20 Capital Project. Vice President Matyas then opened the floor for visitor questions/comments.
