Luis Patiño has been appointed Senior Vice President for the Univision Television Group at Univision Communications Inc. Patiño s new responsibilities now include managing station operations, sales, news, marketing and promotions for Univision s owned and operated TV stations in San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, Phoenix, Tucson, San Antonio and Austin. Christine Martinez was named Director of Sales for both the Austin and San Antonio Univision/TF Stations. Mary Reding joins as the new Multi-Market Account Executive and congratulates Elizabeth Rubio on her promotion to Multi-Market Account Coordinator. Operations Manager Ruben Robledo welcomed Julietta as the newest member to the Univision television family. Mike Lewis has been named Vice President and General Manager of KTBC FOX 7 in Austin. Most recently, Lewis served as Vice President and General Sales Manager of the FOX owned-andoperated duopoly in Houston, KRIV FOX 26 and KTXH My20, for four years. Before that, he was Vice President and General Sales Manager at the FOX owned-and-operated affiliate WHBQ FOX 13 in Memphis for three years. Prior to that, Lewis served as National Sales Manager at the FOX owned-and-operated duopoly in Washington, D.C., WTTG FOX 5 and WDCA My20 in 2002 and was later promoted to Local Sales Manager in 2003. Earlier in his career, Lewis held sales positions at Clear Channel Television in Tulsa. He began his career as an account executive at WXXA FOX 23 Clear Channel Television in Albany. ENTERCOM BRINGS WALTON & JOHNSON TO AUSTIN KJCE - Talk Radio 96.3FM and 1370AM will now carrying Walton & Johnson. The duo have been together since 1983. The Independent Workforce X-Mas (Stubb s BBQ, 12/04) in its 7th year benefitted Austin Habitat4Humanity. This year featured local-fave CAKE and, once again, produced a sell-out show. This year s proceeds set the bar for future shows, raising $11,000+ for Habitat, and also featured an indoor Homegrown Live show with SPEAK!, uber-rock-n-rollers UME (pictured) & The Soldier Thread. http://www.austinhabitat.org/index.php Dudley & Bob s Second Annual Breaking & Entering Christmas was a huge success! KLZT/107.1 La Z was honored to host this year s Children s Miracle Network s 2011 RADIO-THON Por Los Niños. For TWO days they broadcasted LIVE from the Dell Children's Medical Center. Over $115,000 was raised. Univision held its 3rd Annual Noche Navideña event at Serranos at Symphony Square on December 11 th 2011. Attendees were asked to donate canned goods for the Capital Area Food Bank and were able to enjoy free pictures with Santa, ornament making and great entertainment including Diana Reyes. SPIRIT 105.9 celebrated their first ever SpiritFest at the Dell Diamond. Over 12,000 attended this faith based family festival. Members of COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL, an organization that focuses on the spiritual, physical, economic and social needs of children in poverty, were on-hand accepting donations.
