Who are we? The Greek Guiding Association is a non-governmental, pedagogical organization. Guiding is meaningful play. Children and young members (aged between 5 and 17 years) learn to live by adopting values such as respect, faith, cooperation and friendship. They participate in modern activities which allow them to experience a carefully designed system of self-management and personal progress and improvement. Guiding is so much more than an after school activity or a way for children to spend an evening. Here's why we are special:

What is the Association s goal? to contribute to the children and young's development so that they can be responsible citizens, free and able to claim and participate in the creation of a better world by building communities with better conditions for everyone. Active Citizens

What do we offer? To our members To the society

Adult members Volunteers with strong commitment!

VOLUNTEERS We built an inspirational network of volunteers: Our Leaders and adult volunteers give their time so that children get their voices heard, do great activities and feel included and special. They are also inspirational role models for children. In return we provide them with training opportunities so that they have the skills to offer children the best possible guiding experience.

VOLUNTEERS Training: Non formal education: - Modern methods, based on coaching and mentoring - One by one - Small self-organized teams - Creating an activity for raising awareness on a local/national/global issue - Discovering different personal potentials - Discovering team dynamics -> Making an impact to the society

The children!

We encourage children to be independent, learning how to take care of themselves

Children express themselves, they meet new friends and they explore their potentials.

How do we work: Guiding law and Guiding promise: All members are invited to be true to themselves and develop their own beliefs and potentials. We welcome every children regardless faith, origin, nationality, religion, social and financial status or physical handicap.
