Thank you for showing interest in the CSU's 2017 General Elections. The following form must be completed and submitted before March 10, 2017 at 5:00pm, if you hope to be a candidate for CSU Executive. Please read all directives, by-laws and standing regulations carefully, and make sure to fill in all information fields as requested. COMPLETED NOMINATION FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN PERSON, BY THE PROSPECTIVE NOMINEE, TO BE VALID. There are no exceptions to this, forms that are placed under the door of the CSU or CEO office will not be accepted. Forms must be submitted to a CSU Elections Officer at the CEO office (H-462-3). Upon submission, please be sure to sign the nomination acceptance on page 2 of this form in the presence of a CSU Elections Officer. Candidate Biography: Before Candidates nomination forms are to be accepted candidates must submit a brief biography via e-mail to ceo@csu.qc.ca. Candidate bios will be posted on the CSU's election website. The biography must be under 500 words and can include your platform, experience, etc. A se con d biograp hy of 75 words or less is req ui re d t o be pla ce d at polli n g st ations. Nomination forms will not be accepted if bios have not been submitted at the time of submission. I, (full name) do attest that the above information is true and accurate, to the best of my knowledge. I have completed all information in the fields above, including my name, Concordia ID #, registered faculty and submitted my candidate biography to the CEO. I am eligible to run as a candidate for the Concordia University Senate, and at least 45 eligible signatories have signed pages 3-6 of this form. I have read the CEO Directives package and understand the, electoral rules and policies and understand that I must abide by them to remain a candidate. I understand that I must also sign to accept my nomination (page 2 and 6 of this document), in the presence of a CSU Elections Officer, upon submission. If elected, I understand my role as a Senator and accept and intend to attend all Concordia University Senate meetings. I recognize and accept that the CSU Council of Representatives has the power to remove me from office and appoint a replacement if I miss more than one University Senate meeting. I agree to write a report to CSU Council after every meeting via the Academic caucus on my work as a Senator both on the University Senate and on related committees. To become a candidate for Senate, a nominee must gather the signatories of at least 45 eligible voters for the position in which they are running. All signatories must be registered undergraduate students at Concordia University as of January 23, 2017. Independent Students running for Senate need not have faculty-specific signatories. Signatories must fill in all fields to be counted.
