European Young Cooperators meet in Italy INTRODUCTION The Emilia Romagna Region (in compliance with art. 7 of the Regional Law n. 6/2006), in partnership with the Alliance of Italian Cooperatives, Generazioni Emilia-Romagna and OOP! Giovani Emilia Romagna is sponsoring the participation of 30 young co-operators in the project European Young Cooperators Network Italian meeting at Expo Members or employees of European cooperatives or cooperative associations aged under 40 and willing to give a contribution to the building of the European Young Cooperators network set up on April 22 nd in Paris are eligible for the grant, except italian young cooperators, who are t admitted. Selected candidates will have to chance to participate in a two day meeting on 22-23 September. Draft programme: 22 September (Bologna) Morning: arrive in Bologna Afteron: visit of an important Italian cooperative, working group. 23 September (Milan) Meeting of the European Young Cooperators Network inside Expo Free visit to Expo Participants will work during the two days within workshop and working group, on the objectives and themes came to light during the first assembly o f the European Young Cooperators Network in Paris. Art. 1 Eligibility Applicants must fulfil all the following conditions: - To be under 40 years old on september, 22 nd 2015 - To be member or employee of a cooperative or of a cooperative association, or of a company owned by cooperatives in Europe (t in Italy) - To be fluent in English; - To be willing to take part in building the European Young Cooperators Network. 2

Art. 2 Selection procedure: The filled in application form together with a CV and a copy of the ID Card/passport must be sent to Francesca Tamascelli (email address: f.tamascelli@ferrara.legacoop.it) by 2 nd June 2015, 12 pm (CET). Art. 3 Selection criteria Applications will be assessed by a committee, composed by representatives of Legacoop, Confcooperative, AGCI, Generazioni and OOP! Giovani. Only applications from candidates satisfying all eligibility conditions will be assessed. The following criteria will be used: - be member or employee of a cooperative that is member of Cooperatives Europe through a representative organisation (5 points) - work for a representative organisation that is member of Cooperatives Europe (5 points) - having a support letter by the cooperative representative organisation of which you are member or for which you are working (5 points) - be member of one of the existing working groups of the European Network of Young Cooperators. (3 points) Geographical representativeness will be taken into account while drawing up the final participant lists. The list will be communicated by 15 th June. Art. 4 Tasks Selected young cooperators will introduce the Cooperatives Movement of their own countries during the Assembly, in Milan. The presentation, written following a model that will be supplied from the promoters together with the final participant list, has to be sent within September 1 st, to Francesca Tamascelli, at the e- mail address f.tamascelli@ferrara.legacoop.it. In case of two or more participants belonging to the same country, they will cooperate to provide a complete and unique presentation during the public session. In order to give participants the possibility to work in advance, promoters will assure the connection between them. Art. 5 Costs The Region Emilia Romagna will cover the costs of the stay in Italy.
