Mayor Storey welcomed Elzo Hilgenga on the exchange visit hosted by the Rotary Club.

Report of Conservation Authority Representatives Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority Councillor Vanderpost reported on the Conservation Awards Program to recognize and promote public awareness of the conservation activities within the community. She advised of the four awards open for public nominations, and the deadline of November 1, 1993 for the same. Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority Councillor Simpson advised of the annual Conservation dinner and auction scheduled September 23, 1993. 6. Report of County Council Representative County Councillor Brown advised that Bill 51: An Act respecting the Restructuring of the County of Simcoe received Second Reading in the Legislature. He explained that he was not aware of any changes to the Bill. 7. Report of Waste Management Representative County Councillor Brown inquired as to the status of the Ontario Municipal Board decision regarding landfill site compensation. The Clerk-Administrator reported that a response is pending from the Town Solicitor for the same. (i) CORRESPONDENCE 1. Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority Re: Conservation Awards Program 33-015 "That the correspondence from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority dated August 26, 1993 regarding the Conservation Awards Program be received." 2.
