3. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the ROP Meeting in Seattle July 14-16, 2009 were unanimously approved without modification, following a motion by Homer Staves, seconded. 4. Chairman comments Acting Chairman Arnold reported that John Harvey was not feeling well and could not attend the meeting. He thanked John for allowing him to fill this role. Based on his review of the meeting materials, it appears RV definitions and escapes are the two major issues facing the committee at this meeting. 5. Staff liaison report reviewed the permitted actions for today s meeting and how the Committee will work. She stated that all actions had to start with a motion, followed by a second and then discussion could occur. Kristin pointed out the fire exits in the event of an emergency. She also reviewed the schedules and timing of the work the Committee would be held to in completing its responsibilities. She said the actions of the Committee would be based on the majority of those participating today, followed by a letter ballot, which will document the formal actions of the Committee. The letter ballot will be available in 3 to 4 weeks as an electronic ballot on-line. Alternates should vote in the event their principal does not. Any negative votes will be recirculated. 6. Act on Comments All Comments were reviewed. Actions were taken on each comment. Five Committee comments were developed for the 1192 standard as follows: 1192-3 Log#CC1 (3.3.44 RV definition) 1192-9 Log#CC2 (5.5.22.1) 1192-11 Log#CC3 (5.10) 1192-22 Log#CC4 (5.10.6.2) 1192-37 Log#CC5 (6.2) One Committee comment was developed for 1194 as follows: 1194-1 Log#CC1 (3.3.19 RV definition) ROC 1192- Log #26 (6.2) was discussed first, was later tabled, rediscussed, and then tabled again. Final action was agreed to be determined by telephone 2

conference call as some of the participants had dropped off the web cast; their input to finalizing the actions on escape requirements was desired. Secretary note: There ended up being two TCC in order to complete action on ROC 1192-Log#26. Participants and dates are detailed at the end of these minutes. The final action by the Committee can be seen in ROC 1192-37 Log#CC5 (6.2). 7. Old Business reported the Committee had had issues with the report on Recreational Vehicles Fires that was distributed at the Seattle ROP meeting last July. Those concerns were documented in a letter by John Harvey to NFPA. NFPA has reviewed the Committee input and revised the report accordingly. Copies of the revised report will be sent to the Committee in the near future. The Committee appreciates the actions by NFPA. 8. New Business None. 9. Next Meeting The next meeting will be the TCC scheduled for May 4, 2010, 12:00 EDST. 10. Adjournment. The meeting finished on April 13, 2010 at 5:35 PM Pacific Time.
