Notes: (1) Category I comprises (i) countries whose per capita GNI has been for at least two consecutive years above the World Bank graduation threshold (i.e. per capita GNI over USD 5,685 for 2004 and USD 6,055 for 2005) and (ii) countries which had been classified as Category I until the previous year according to (i) above and which have fallen below the threshold but have not yet changed their category because of the two consecutive-year rule in Article 11 a) of the Arrangement. In respect of the countries of this category: - the maximum repayment term is five years (or eight-and-a-half years with prior notification in accordance with Article 45); - the weighted average life of the repayment period shall not exceed (i) for transactions with sovereign buyers (or with a sovereign repayment guarantee), four-and-a-half years (ii) for transactions with non-sovereign buyers (and with no sovereign repayment guarantee), five years. (2) Category II comprises all other countries than Category I. In respect of the countries of this category: - the maximum repayment term is ten years; - the weighted average life of the repayment period shall not exceed (i) for transactions with sovereign buyers (or with a sovereign repayment guarantee), five-and-a-quarter years (ii) for transactions with non-sovereign buyers (and with no sovereign repayment guarantee), six years. (3) Chinese Taipei is no longer officially classified by the World Bank; however, it has been retained for Arrangement purposes. (4) France includes the French overseas departments of French Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Réunion. (5) Portugal includes Azores and Madeira. (6) Moldova excludes Transnistria. (7) Serbia and Montenegro excludes Kosovo. (8) Per capita GNI data refers to mainland Tanzania only. 5
