Following the traditional flag salute, a roundtable of introductions was completed. A motion was made by Jon Nolan and seconded by Michael Ryan to accept the November 2016 minutes as posted. President s Report- No Report Affiliate Reports King County EMS- Terry Sinclair EMT Classes: - Pre-test for our Spring EMT class will be held on March 1 st, with orientation scheduled for the following Wednesday - Send out application for this class at the end of this month. Jon Nolan CBT Instructor Evaluator Workshops - Sign-ups available on line - First session will take place next week EMT Classes: - Planning on having 2 classes in the north, and 2 in the south end - Possible full payment for these upcoming classes Narcan: - Is coming!!!
Labor and Industries- J.C. Smith: - Possibly 16 positions are opening up at L & I - Email him or check website WA State Fire Training & Safety Officers- Howard Scartozzi: - Fire symposium is scheduled for February 25 March 5 - If any departments still need to take the Train the Trainer EVIP class, contact him o Possible class in Clarck County WA State Fire Service Training- Howard Scartozzi: - On Monday, State Representative Roger Goodman participated in a live fire presentation on Duvall area - Course cost change for live fire in 2017. Cost will be 32 dollars per person instead of group rates - 2017 classes are not currently on the website, but will be shortly - Regional Direct Fire Program is in the process of recruiting instructors. Committee Reports Extrication Academy Committee No Report. Possible new representation. Leadership Symposium Committee No Report. ODA Committee The ODA committee is gearing up for next year s classes. IFTSA Fire Officer 1 & 2 testing was on November 18 th at Seattle Joint Training Facility. Had 2 participants. Pump Operator Workshop Committee Great feedback on previous Class. Slight problem acquiring pumpers for class. Scartozzi offered new pumpers that were received from grant. Scholarship Committee Possibly $200 remaining. They will look into it. Also, created a maximum allowed amount per student Truck Academy No Report. Website Committee Received word that website doesn t work 100% on firefox. Besides that one problem that is being fixed, the website is working correctly. Old Business Nominations: Mike Baily for Treasurer In desperate need for volunteers New Business- 2017 budget- all complete. President Coll & Cindy will bring that to our meeting in Jan after all bills are paid in full. 2017 Meeting schedule complete, and President Coll passed out forms. Recongnition- All outgoing Training officers were thanked and recognized, Then all administration, followed by KCFTO board members
