White Sands Panhandlers Chapter White Sands Panhandlers Special Edition Our 30 th Anniversary Celebration at Anchors Aweigh was a huge success. If you weren t there, you should regret it. Our Committee for the Merger of White Sands and Tri-State Panhandlers reviewed the By Laws and Standing Rules for both Chapters. They agreed on minor changes combining both chapters and at our joint business meeting elected our new Board: Charles Kreiger, President, Eddie Adams, Vice President, Elaine Ciardello, Secretary, Carol Kuzma, Treasurer and Paul Moniz, Muster Master. Paul Moniz put together a Muster schedule for 2019. I have attached the Minutes of our Merger Meeting, our Joint Business Meeting and the 2019 Muster Schedule below. MINUTES COMMITTEE FOR THE MERGER WHITE SANDS AND TRI-STATE PANHANDLERS CHAPTERS May 17, 2018 A meeting Committee for the Merger White Sands and Tri-State Panhandlers Chapters was held at the Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in Foley AL on May 17, 2018 at 1:00pm. The Committee consisted elected chapter officers and Executive Board members from

the two chapters. White Sands Executive Board Members included: Carmen Ciardello, President; Stan Rogers, Vice-President; Elaine Ciardello, Secretary; Joan Scheet, Treasurer. Tri-State Panhandlers Executive Board Members included: Chuck Krieger, President; Ed Adams, Vice-President; Chuck Kuzma, Secretary; Carol Kuzma, Treasurer; Paul Moniz, Muster Master. The Committee Meeting was opened and Chuck Kuzma was selected at the Committee Chair. The Order of Business for the meeting and the results are presented below: 1. CALL TO ORDER: Chuck Kuzma called the meeting to order. 2. INTRODUCTIONS: The members committee were introduced. 3. CHAPTER NAME: The chapter name, having been previously discussed and approved by both chapters, was unanimously approved by the committee. The chapter name approved was White Sands Panhandlers. 4. CHAPTER BY-LAWS: A draft set of By-laws for the merged chapter, prepared by Chuck Kuzma, was presented to the committee for discussion, change (as deemed necessary) and approval. To aid in the drafting By-laws, each committee member was provided a copy of SOP-03-1, Generic Chapter By-laws. Each member was also provided a copy current By-laws of each chapter. After a lengthy discussion, a final version By-laws for the White Sands Panhandlers was developed and approved unanimously. Included in the By-laws was the new chapter name and the approved use of both White Sands and Tri-State Panhandlers logos on regalia, banners and other items to show the joint heritage new chapter. 5. CHAPTER STANDING RULES: A draft set of Standing Rules for the merged chapter, prepared by Chuck Kuzma, was presented to the committee for discussion, change (as deemed necessary) and approval. To aid in the drafting Standing Rules, each committee member was provided a copy of SOP-03-2, Generic Standing Rules. Each member was also provided a copy current Standing Rules of each chapter. After a lengthy discussion, a final version Standing Rules for the White Sands Panhandlers was developed and approved unanimously. 6. SLATE OF OFFICERS: A Slate of Officers for the White Sands Panhandlers was prepared for presentation to the two chapters. Elaine Ciardello made a nomination of Chuck Kreiger for President. Ed Adams seconded the nomination. Chuck Krieger accepted the nomination. Chuck Krieger nominated Ed Adams for Vice-President. Joan Scheet seconded the nomination. Ed Adams accepted the nomination. Carmen Ciardello nominated Carol Kuzma for Treasurer. Chuck Krieger seconded the nomination. Carol Kuzma accepted the nomination. Paul Moniz nominated Elaine Ciardello for Secretary. Joan Scheet seconded the nomination. Elaine accepted the nomination. Elaine Ciardello nominated Paul Moniz for Muster Master. Carmen Ciardello seconded the nomination. Paul accepted the nomination. The Slate of Officers was unanimously approved for presentation to the chapters. 7. CHAPTER MUSTER SUPPLIES/EQUIPMENT: Chuck Kuzma was selected to take possession chapter muster supplies/equipment for both chapters and consolidate them. Any excess will be reported to the Executive Board for appropriate disposition. 8. TREASURY AND TREASURER: The individual chapter treasurers, Joan Scheet and Carol Kuzma met and agreed on a transfer of all individual chapter funds to the new treasurer, Carol Kuzma, after all financial obligations for each chapter have been met. The committee approved this decision.

The committee approved all the foregoing 8 items in the order of business for presentation approval to the chapters at a Joint Business Meeting to be held on May 19, 2018 at the same location. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Prepared by: Chuck Kuzma Committee Chair Carmen Ciardello President, White Sands Chuck Krieger President, Tri-State Panhandlers MINUTES JOINT BUSINESS MEETING WHITE SANDS AND TRI-STATE PANHANDLERS CHAPTERS May 19, 2018 A joint business meeting White Sands and Tri-State Panhandlers Chapters was held at the Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in Foley AL on May 19, 2018 at 9:30am. Jointly presiding over the meeting were Carmen Ciardello, President White Sands Chapter and Chuck Krieger, President Tri-State Panhandlers Chapter. The Order of Business for the meeting and the results are presented below: OPENING. Carmen Ciardello called the meeting to order. An invocation was given followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL: All the elected officers two Chapters were present. These officers were: White Sands Officers Carmen Ciardello, President; Stan Rogers, Vice-President; Elaine Ciardello, Secretary; Joan Scheet, Treasurer. Tri-State Panhandlers Officers Chuck Krieger, President; Ed Adams, Vice-President; Chuck Kuzma, Secretary; Carol Kuzma, Treasurer; Paul Moniz, Muster Master. Chapter members present were: Sandi Burns, Bo & Karen Deblieux, Mike & Patty Doran, Lee Harris, Hal Jellison, Tracey Krieger, Margie Moniz, Shirley Newton, Jim & Gerry Pence, Ray & Susan Posey, Ginny Rogers, Larry & Cynthia Sockwell, Bob Zeller, Gary & Melanie Zick. All members, including officers, are voting member of both chapters with the exception of Sandi Burns, Tri-State Panhandlers only and Bo & Karen DeBileux, White sands only. These officers and members represent a majority of members of both chapters. PRESENTATION OF THE SLATE OF OFFICERS. Carmen Ciardello presented the Slate of Officers developed by the Chapter Merger Committee. This slate included: Chuck Krieger, President; Ed Adams, Vice-President; Elaine Ciardello, Secretary; Carol Kuzma, Treasurer. Nominations were opened for nomination from the floor. No other nominations were made.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS. With only one nominee for each elected office for the White Sands Panhandlers Chapter, Carmen Ciardello called for a voice vote for acceptance nominated officers. The officers were elected by acclamation. The newly elected officers were all previously elected officers in their pre-merger chapters and will continue to serve the new chapter until their original term of office expires at the end calendar year. ASSUMPTION OF OFFICE. Incoming President, Chuck Kreiger, accepted the gavel from Outgoing President, Carmen Ciardello, and assumed control meeting. All other newly elected officers took their place on the podium. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS. A reading minutes previous meetings of White Sands and Tri-State Panhandlers Chapters were waived. The minutes, as distributed, were approved. TREASURER S REPORTS. Joan Scheet reported that White Sands Chapter has a balance as of May 19, 2018 of $739.31 with no outstanding debts or payments. Carol Kuzma reported that Tri-State Panhandlers Chapter has a balance as of May 19 of $864.03 with no outstanding debts or payments. Carol and Joan reviewed the financial records two chapters and agreed on the transfer of funds to a single bank account to be managed by the new Treasurer, Carol Kuzma. Dues payments by members to both chapters will have their dues extended accordingly. As the Chapter Muster Committee Chair, Carol and Chuck Kuzma were assigned the task of combining the chapter treasuries and coordinating the necessary changes with the Hancock Whitney Bank. Signatories will not be changed on that account. Joan Scheet will close the White Sands Account with the Coastal Bank and Trust and forward account funds to Carol. SECRETARY S REPORTS. Elaine Ciardello made the Secretary s Report for the White Sands Chapter. All correspondence was read. Chuck Kuzma made the Secretary s Report for the Tri-State Panhandlers Chapter. All correspondence was read. MUSTER MASTERS REPORT. Paul Moniz presented the schedule and information on scheduled future musters White Sands Panhandlers Chapter. He asked that all members take part in hosting musters and that any ideas or locations for future musters be provided to him. OLD BUSINESS. There was no old business to discuss. NEW BUSINESS. Chuck Kuzma, Chapter Merger Committee Chair, discussed the new Chapter By-laws and Standing Rules. He provided a brief overview and announced that these documents would be emailed to all chapter members for their review and approval. Approval was requested to be accomplished within the next two weeks. All approvals and comments are to be forwarded to Chuck Kuzma. CLOSING. With no further business to come before the chapter, a motion to close the meeting was made and seconded. The meeting closed at 10:30am.
