CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Chairperson Taylor called the meeting to order and confirmed a quorum. II. CONSENT CALENDAR: 1. Approval of Minutes from the following meeting(s): March 21,2016 Motion: Commissioner Lattin made a motion to approve the consent calendar, as presented. Commissioner Kemp seconded the motion. Unanimously Approved III. CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS: None IV. OLD BUSINESS UPDATE: 1. Idaho Certified Local Government Grant (Design Guidelines/Education) Commissioner Taylor stated that she would like for us to do the design presentation at a local downtown business location and she is still working on finding a business that will host the event. If this is not possible the Council Chambers will be the other option. 2. Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month Commissioner Rice suggested that the Commission participate in the 100-year celebration for Bickel Elementary as the Historic Preservation Month activity. The celebration will be on May 19, 2016 at Bickel Elementary with events throughout the day for the students and an open house in the evening for the public to celebrate and tour the site. She will check with the PTA group to see what kind of support they need and report back to the Commission.

Operation Facelift Planner I Weeks stated that staff has sent out an email with information regarding this event and has not had any response yet. She would like to discuss whether or not there needs to be a deadline so that planning can commence if there are participants. Commissioner Taylor suggested that the deadline occur prior to the next meeting so that there is time to move forward with a plan. The Commission has committed to spearheading this event. May 13, 2016 was the date chosen for a deadline. Commissioner Kemp stated that she would be willing to follow-up with posting the information on more of the social media sites, like Facebook. She will also follow-up with Josh Palmer about posting information on the City Website and possibly get an interview done with KMVT. Commissioner Lattin stated that she would talk to a member of the Magic Valley Bible Church to see if they would be interested in participating in this event. 4. Highway Sign Update Commissioner Taylor stated this item needs to be moved to the May Agenda so that Darrell Buffaloe can be available to attend the meeting and provide an update for this project. V. NEW BUSINESS: None VI. INPUT AND/OR ITEMS FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION: None VII. UPCOMING MEETINGS/SCHEDULE: Monday, May 16, 2016 VIII.
