REPORT SUMMARY Council must set the Meeting Schedule for 2019 at their Organizational Meeting. COUNCIL AUTHORITY /PREVIOUS DECISIONS Council must set a Meeting Schedule in order to provide notice as required under the Municipal Government Act. CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER'S COMMENTS That Council approve the meeting schedule REPORT BACKGROUND/CONTEXT /DISCUSSION Legislative Services has drafted a Meeting Schedule for 2019 and is submitting the schedule to Council for approval. It is important to set the Meeting Schedule as all meetings of Council must be advertised. CONCLUSION Administration recommends that Council approve the drafted 2019 Meeting Schedule.

REPORT SUMMARY Council must appoint/reappoint public members to various Council Committees annually in October. COUNCIL AUTHORITY/PREVIOUS DISCISIONS Council Procedural Bylaw indicated that Council must appoint/reappoint public members at the end of October of each year. CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER'S COMMENTS That Council Consider the Report. REPORT BACKGROUND/CONTEXT In accordance with Policy 1101-Appointment of Citizens to Committees and Establishment of Council Committees, and in accordance with the Council Procedural Bylaw, Council appoints Public Members at their yearly organizational meeting. DISCUSSION P13

Council is required to appoint all Public Committee Members yearly at their Organizational Council Meeting. Because Administration has proposed a new Policy 1101 to govern Committee Appointments, Administration is recommending that Council extend all current appointments to the end of November to allow for implementation of the new policy. CONCLUSION That Council extend all Committee appointments expiring October 31, 2018 to November 30, 2018. P14 Page 2 of 2
