Transportation The participants will be picked up on arrival at the Imam-Khomeini International Airport and transferred to the venue hotel. About Tehran Tehran sometimes spelled Teheran, is the capital of Iran and Tehran Province. With an estimated population of 11,000,000, it is also Iran's largest urban area and city, the largest city in Western Asia, one of the largest in Southern Asia, and the 19th-largest city globally. Contemporary Tehran is a modern city featuring many structures, of which the Azadi (Freedom) Tower and the Milad Tower have come to be symbols of Tehran itself. In 2008 Tehran was the least expensive capital in the world and the second-least expensive city globally based on the cost-of-living index presenting the best value for money in the world. Globally it stands 19th by city population, 56th by the size of its GDP and 29th by the population of its metropolitan area. For more information about Tehran, please refer to the site of the meeting: http://unggim-ap.ncc.org.ir Weather Tehran features a semi-arid, continental climate. Tehran's climate is largely defined by its geographic location, with the towering Alborz Mountains to its north and the central desert to the south. It can be generally described as mild in the spring and autumn, hot and dry in the summer, and cold in the winter. Although compared with other parts of the country Tehran enjoys a more moderate climate, weather conditions can sometimes be unpredictably harsh. The record high temperature is 43 C and the record low is 15 C. In autumn, the weather in Tehran is usually cold with possibility of rain or snow falls. For more information you can refer to: http://www.weather-forecast.com/locations/tehran/forecasts/latest http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/tehran+iran+irxx0018 Currency The Iranian currency is Iranian Rial (IRR). The formal current exchange rate is about 1 USD: 12285 IRR. Major foreign currencies can be exchanged at hotels and airports. Although the "toman" is no longer an official unit of Iranian currency, Iranians commonly express amounts of money and prices of goods in "tomans." For this purpose, one "toman" equals 10 rials. Despite this usage, amounts of money and prices of goods are virtually always written in rials. It is highly suggested to bring money in cash as credit cards are scarcely used.

Time The standard time used in all regions of Iran is 3.5 hours ahead of GMT. Dress In Iran, Islamic dress (Hijab) for women is a law.
