TPS is granted to individuals residing in the United States who are unable to return to their home country for reasons that include: temporary extraordinary conditions, armed conflicts and environmental disasters. Individuals with TPS are able to access a work permit and are protected from deportation, but the status does not provide a pathway to citizenship. Currently 322,000 individuals with TPS designation. Eliminate most current family immigration categories U.S. citizens would no longer be able to sponsor their adult children, their parents, and their brothers and sisters to immigrate Eliminate Employment-Based Immigration Categories. Replace the current system for employer-based legal visas with a point-based system for all non-family based immigrants. Eliminate the diversity visa program Limit refugee admissions to 50,000 per year
