SUPERINTENDENT S RECOMMENDATIONS: The resolutions and motions, which follow, have been reviewed and recommended by the Superintendent of Schools, for approval by the Milltown Board of Education. A. Curriculum and Instruction Dawn Milburn, Chairperson Chairperson s Statement: Recommend the Motions and Resolutions as outlined in Curriculum and Instruction, Numbers 1 through 5 Discussion 1. Be it resolved that the Milltown Board of Education, through contract with the Educational Services Commission of NJ, authorizes the administrative personnel of the Commission to conference, discuss and solicit input in the development of the nursing services contract document for the 2016-2017 school year which provides nursing services to the following nonpublic school located in the Milltown School District: a) Good Day Pre-School and Kindergarten Nursing services to be provided first by assignment of a licensed nurse and the purchase of supplies and equipment necessary to implement the law and code N.J.A.C. 6:29-8 includes: 1. Assistance with medical examinations, including dental screening. Page 3 of 8

2. Audiometric screening. 3. Maintenance of student health records, including immunizations. 4. Scoliosis screening. 5. Adopt written policies and procedures extending the emergency care provided to the public school pupils to those pupils who are enrolled full time in the nonpublic school who are injured or become ill at school or during participation on a school team or squad. 2. Approve the Gifted and Talented curriculum guide for adoption. 3. Approve the Technology Plan for adoption and submission to the county superintendent. 4....Approve a Teacher of the Deaf through Summit Speech School to provide Itinerant Teacher services for student #17. Sessions will be September 2016-June 2017, 2 sessions per week at the cost of $150.00 per session. 5. Approve out-of-district placement and additional services for the following students for the 2016-2017 school year in accordance with each child s IEP. Please note: All Tuition costs are approximate. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(c)4, we certify that as of July 31, 2016, after review of the Secretary s monthly financial report (appropriations section) and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials, to the best of our knowledge, no major account or fund has been over-expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11 (b) and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district s financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. 8. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-18.5(20(iii), we certify for the 2016-2017 school year that New Road Schools is not required to charge students for paid and reduced meals in accordance with the income eligibility criteria established by the Child Nutrition Program as administered by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. 9....Approve Kathleen Collins, MA, SLP-CCC to provide Oral Motor/Feeding Consultation Services, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey.
