October Crime Report 2018 PURPOSE: The purpose of this report is to provide an analysis of Coeur d Alene crime for the month of October 2018. Information provided: Compstat Report for calendar month and year to date. Arrest statistics for calendar month. Calls for Service / Officer Activity for calendar month. Compstat Monthly Map for calendar month. Month-to-Month Comparison Maps Part 1 Crimes (Compstat Crimes) by calendar month. Aggravated Assaults 45% Decrease: Four of the six incidents were domestic related. Dispositions: Five closed by arrest and one case remains active. Rape: One active investigation. Robbery (3): Suspect approached the victim while at an ATM machine in a bar and demanded his wallet, suspect arrested; Physical domestic dispute, suspect took the victim s phone, suspect arrested; Suspects entered into victim s home, active investigation. Auto Burglaries by Arson (1): Domestic related, suspect arrested. District Auto Burglary 63% Decrease: Two juvenile suspects were located and arrested, for one incident. 1 2 1 Non-Residential Burglary (1): Attempted entry into a business. 2 Residential Burglary 11% Increase: See map for locations. Four of the ten incidents have known suspects. Theft 17% Increase: Eight of the incidents were shoplifting related. The remaining were thefts from buildings open to the general public or where the suspects had legal access to. A total of nine cases were closed by arrest or citation.
