LUELLA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOUCHDOWN CLUB *The below articles copied from the Official 2018 BYLAWS ARTICLE I Name The name of the organization is the Luella Football Touchdown Club; hereinafter referred to as: The Organization. ARTICLE II MISSION STATEMENT The Luella Football Touchdown Club is formed as a non-profitable social club as defined by Section501 (c): (7) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and are: a. This organization shall be composed of the Luella Football fans, and all people with interest in promoting the sport of high school football. b. To support the Luella football teams in all their endeavors. c. To support various social and charitable events each year financially and otherwise. d. To support the coaches and administrators of Luella High School in a cooperative and enthusiastic manner. e. To provide education and information about Luella Football to the membership and the public. ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP A member in good standing is defined as one who has paid-membership dues in full, agrees to uphold the bylaws of the Luella Football Touchdown Club, and is entitled to: a. Inclusion in all club functions and projects. b. All publications, notifications and information concerning the club. c. A vote on general club business when in attendance. d. A vote in election of officers when in attendance.
Section 2 Annual membership dues shall be renewable on August 1st of each year. Section 3 Termination of membership will be made by a simple majority vote of members in good standing present when a member: a. Has displayed a disregard for the bylaws of the Luella Football Touchdown Club. b. Has committed some fraudulent act against the club. c. Is convicted by any federal, state or county court of law for violation of laws regarding illegal conduct while engaged in participation in any organization function or other organization sponsored event. Any member suspended under these circumstances shall not be eligible for future reinstatement. d. Displays any conduct prejudicial to or deemed inappropriate and not being in the best interest and policies of The Luella Football Touchdown Club or the Luella High School. e. Fails to pay membership fee levied by the Luella Football Touchdown Club, if not paid during the month that is due. Section 4 An active member will be entitled to a complaint review for any violation reported to the President. The President will convene a special meeting of the Executive Board and they will review and investigate allegations. Upon completion of the investigation and review, the Executive Board will present a written report to the general membership and the general membership will determine (by majority vote) whether to suspend the member. Section 5 A member who has previously been suspended for the above-mentioned reasons (except for subsection c.) may apply, after payment of any overdue fees, dues or other charges, for reinstatement of membership at any regular meeting. A member applying for reinstatement after suspension must receive a unanimous affirmation of the Executive Board. Section 6 Any member in good standing may resign their membership at any time. A member who resigns in good standing may reapply for membership by requesting so at any regular meeting. Membership will be automatic upon payment of any necessary fees. No voting by organization members will be required.
ARTICLE IV MEMBERSHIP DUES To Help Support The Luella Lions Football Team It Is IMPORTANT That All Players Parents/Sponsors Become A Member And Volunteer For Functions During The Year. Yearly membership dues will be broken down into (4) membership packages. a. Individual- $50.00 per year One vote at booster club meetings b. Parents Pack- $100.00 per year Two votes at Booster Club meetings c. Super Booster Family Pack- $200.00 per year Two votes at booster club meetings Addition benefits to be determined d. Alumni or Student- $25.00 per year One vote at booster club meetings (if 18 years old and above) Section 2 Corporate Sponsor Membership will be broken down into four tiers: Cub, Spirit, Heart and King. a. A corporation will receive a Cub Membership with a donation of $500 or more. 1. 1 ½ x 2 stadium sign displayed for 1 year 2. ¼ page Black & White ad in the football program 3. A sponsorship recognition announcement during all home games
b. A corporation will receive a Spirit Membership with a donation of $750 or more. 1. A 3 x 4 stadium sign for one year 2. Half page color program ad 3. Minimum of two sponsor recognition announcements during home games 4. Business logo will be displayed on Touchdown Club website. 5. May add business card size coupon in program and on website for a fee. c. A corporation will receive a Heart Membership with a donation of $1000 or more. 1. A 4 x 8 stadium sign for one year 2. Full page color program ad. 3. Minimum of 2 sponsor recognition announcements in each half of home games. 4. Business logo will be displayed on Touchdown Club website 5. May add business card size coupon in program and website. d. A corporation will receive a King Membership with a donation of $1500 or more. 1. A 4 X 8 stadium sign for one year 2. Full page color program ad. 3. Minimum of 4 sponsor recognition announcements in each half of home games. 4. Business logo will be displayed on Touchdown Club website. 5. May add business card size coupon in program and website. 6. Opportunity to distribute promotional items at home games. 7. Additional Special announcements and signage.
Section 3 Honorary memberships are available to individuals at the discretion of the Executive Board. a. Honorary Membership may be conferred upon any individual or business establishment acknowledged by their significantly valuable contribution to the support of the Luella Football Touchdown Club. b. Lifetime Honorary Family Memberships may be given to outgoing presidents by majority vote of the Executive Board. Section 4 The Executive Board will determine annual dues for individual and family memberships at the start of the fiscal year. ARTICLE V MEETINGS Regular meeting of the Luella Football Touchdown Club will be held monthly. (The 2 nd Tuesday of each month in LHS Media Center.) Section 2 Special meetings of the Luella Football Touchdown Club will be called by the President at any time. Any business brought before the special meeting and properly voted upon shall have the same effect as matters brought before regular meetings. Section 3 Notice of meeting of the Luella Football Touchdown Club shall be made by public announcement, personal contact, mail, e-mail, or other notice. (A reminder email will be sent to all by the day before the meeting.) *Every year once the bylaws have been approved and signed, it will be available for review on the Luella Football Touchdown Club website at www.luellalionsfootball.com.
