Budget Allocation for ASBCC (VPF Matt Gregory) The budget is similar to that of last year, with subsections allocated towards Events, Graduation, Club Seed Money, etc. Fund 84 needs to be removed from the current spreadsheet, as those funds are not able to be used. It was also brought to our attention that some checks for approved funds never made it to the individuals who requested them, so we need to go over our finances from last year and pay back what we owe. B. Endorsement for increasing the minimum wage of Berkeley (ASUC) (President Brianna Rogers) Essentially, we need students to endorse the idea of an increase to minimum wage in Berkeley. Before committing, it was decided that the council should read the Bill, if available, to clarify what we would be backing. C. Request for $295.41 for hotel accommodations for SSCCC General Assembly (VPA Kaydee Miller) Only one application has been turned it for the SSCCC Assembly so far, so Kaydee will extend the deadline. The $295.41 is the total for one room hotel accommodations with two queen beds, where up to four individuals attending the Assembly will stay. The final price will be listed accurately when it becomes an action item. D. Request for $232 for transportation to SSCCC General Assembly (VPA Kaydee Miller)
The $232 is the price for 4 individual tickets for Amtrak. Depending on the number of students attending, the price is subject to change. The Assembly is open to the public, but seeing as the ASBCC Council members were specifically elected to represent the student body at these types of events, and the event is specifically geared towards student government representatives, it is inappropriate to send students, but not impossible.
