Point Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce Newsletter Chamber Members, As we head into a month dedicated to being thankful, I want to let you know how much we are thankful for your support! We all look forward to some other activities this month including good food, family and time off, however, we just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU for your work in the Fruita community and for supporting our organization. IN THIS ISSUE: Message from the Director Upcoming Events New & Renewing Members Get Involved Last Months Chamber Events Upcoming Community Events Contact Information These last few months of 2018 still bring various events including two more Women in Business, two Business After Hours, December Tool-box, Small Business Saturday, Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting as well as a Window Wonderland decorating contest! You will find more information about all of these events in this newsletter and on our website. In addition, Fruita City Council has been working through the 2019 budget process. I have attended many of these meetings and meet regularly with the Fruita City Manager to talk through issues affecting business. Tomorrow night, Nov 6, City Council will hold public hearings on few proposed zoning changes. You can learn more about proposed changes and budget updates here. These meetings are open to the public or feel free to call me with any questions. Lastly, today is voting day! We encourage you to get your ballots in and to encourage those around you to vote as well. It s an important election and every vote matters!
