Deputy Mayor Zuckerman Trustee Pomerantz Trustee Meyerson AUTHORIZE REIMBURSEMENT FOR CPR/AED RENEWAL CLASSES RES. #174-17 Upon motion of Trustee Pomerantz, seconded by Deputy Mayor Zuckerman, it was RESOLVED, to authorize reimbursement to the following returning lifeguards who worked this past summer through August 6, 2017 for the CPR/AED renewal class cost of $64.00 each: Matthew Brendel, Lucas Broncato, Charlotte DeMartini, Sam Esmaili, Steven Goldberg, Ismail Gorul, Arya Lahijani, Jackson Rich, and Guy Vitacco. DONATIONS RES. #176-17 Upon motion of Deputy Mayor Zuckerman, seconded by Trustee Pomerantz, it was RESOLVED, to accept the following donations: $1,500 from North Shore Camp, LLC for the Kids in the Park Halloween Spooktacular; $2,650.00 from Joyce Styne for Kids in the Park summer 2017 events: Sundaes on Mondays - $1,250, Start of Summer Party at the Pool - $700, and End of Summer Pool Party - $700; and $1500.00 from Joyce Styne at Laffey Fine Homes International for the Kids in the Park 2017 Halloween Spooktacular. Deputy Mayor Zuckerman Trustee Pomerantz Trustee Meyerson AUTHORIZE PAYMENT TO BRAD TENEM FOR DAMAGED SPRINKLER HEADS RES. #177-17 Upon motion by Deputy Mayor Zuckerman, seconded by Trustee Pomerantz, it was RESOLVED, to authorize the payment of $304.15 to homeowner Brad Tenem, 182 Village Road, for repair of broken sprinkler heads along Barberry Lane due to roadwork by Stasi Bros.; said amount was paid to the Village by Stasi Bros. for said reimbursement. Upon motion by Deputy Mayor Zuckerman, seconded by Trustee Pomerantz, the following resolution was put forth: RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF EAST HILLS, NEW YORK, ADOPTED MAY 24, 2010 RESOLUTION RESCINDING VARIOUS BOND RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED ON MAY 24, 2017 WHICH AUTHORIZED THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS FOR VARIOUS PURPOSES IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF EAST HILLS WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of East Hills, in the County of Nassau, New York (the Village ), has heretofore adopted a bond resolution on May 24, 2010, authorizing the issuance of bonds to improve various roads in the Village; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has determined that no bonds shall be hereafter issued for said project and it is therefore in the best interest of the Village to rescind the serial bonds authorized to be issued by said bond resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF EAST HILLS, IN THE COUNTY OF NASSAU, NEW YORK, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: The bond resolution of the Village of East Hills, New York, adopted on May 24, 2010, which authorized the issuance of $1,300,000 bonds of the Village for the improvement of various roads in the Village, is hereby rescinded. No bonds or bond anticipation notes having been heretofore issued pursuant thereto. The amount of borrowing authorization hereby rescinded is $1,300,000. This resolution shall take effect immediately. Deputy Mayor Zuckerman Trustee Pomerantz Trustee Meyerson AUTHORIZE COMMITMENT OF FUNDS FOR INSTALLATION OF SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS RES. #179-17 Upon motion of Deputy Mayor Zuckerman, seconded by Trustee Pomerantz, it was RESOLVED, that contingent upon the securing of a $250,000 SAM grant for the installation of surveillance cameras, the Board authorizes the commitment of funds necessary to complete the proposed project in an amount not to exceed $250,000. The funds will come from the Village s 2017/18 Adopted Budget, General Fund. Motion Passed. The vote was as follows:

FOR MOMMY AND ME MUSIC CLASS RES. #180-17 Upon motion of, seconded by Trustee Meyerson, it was RESOLVED, to authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement with Matt Marshak, Inc. for a Kids in the Park Mommy and Me Music Class at a cost of $2,000.00 according to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Motion Passed. AUTHORIZE ACCEPTANCE OF OWNERSHIP AND TRANSFER FROM THE CURRENT OWNER OF THE HISTORIC GATE HOUSE OF THE FORMER MACKAY ESTATE RES.#183-17 Upon motion by Deputy Mayor Zuckerman, seconded by Trustee Pomerantz, it was RESOLVED, to authorize the Mayor to sign an agreement for the Village of East Hills to accept ownership and transfer from the current owner of the Historic Gate House of the former MacKay Estate, subject to counsel review and to further accept the sum of $100,000 to pay for the costs of restoring the Gate House. Deputy Mayor Zuckerman Trustee Pomerantz Trustee Meyerson CLAIMS RES. #184-17 Upon motion of Trustee Meyerson, seconded by Trustee Pomerantz, it was RESOLVED, to approve the General Fund Abstract of October 18, 2017 in the amount of $157,394.41 and Supplemental General Fund Abstract of October 18, 2017 in the amount of $170,103.48. Deputy Mayor Zuckerman Trustee Pomerantz Trustee Meyerson DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS The Departmental Reports were accepted as submitted. The grand total of Village Justice Court funds collected for the months of August 2017 and September 2017 was $36,010 and $60,429, respectively. MAYOR S REPORT reported that Village s Halloween Spooktacular was an outstanding success due to the hard work of and the Kids in the Park Committee members.
