Annual General Meeting Minutes Sunday, November 19, 2017-12:00pm Sheraton-Omaha 655 108th Ave Omaha, NE 68154 I. Call to Order-The meeting was called to order at 12:10pm by Michael Doria II. Check of Credentials-Michael Doria provided a report on credentials. There are 160 eligible votes, 106 checked in, which is 66% of the eligible votes. It was established that a quorum was present. Motion by Paul Smoot to accept 5 late credentials, second by Todd Smith, motion carried. III. Approval of Minutes-Paul motioned with a second by Geoff W to approve the November 20, 2016 minutes, motion carried. IV. President s Report- Jon recognizes the NSSA staff for the overwhelming success of the Inaugural Day of Education and Hall of Fame Dinner. Primary focus for the next year will be to continue to grow on the sound foundation that has been established. V. Jon presented the budget report in Paula s absence. Marc C motioned and second by Julie K to accept the financial report presented; motion carried. VI. Proposed Amendments/Policy Changes-none. VII. Election of Officers- The nominations committee nominates Michael Doria for re-election as Vice President. Call for nominations from the floor for Vice President, no nominations taken from the floor. Motion to close nominations for Vice President by Marc C and second by Paul S. Motion to elect Michael Doria as Vice President by acclimation. The nominations committee nominates Paula Sharpe for re-election as Treasurer. Call for nominations from the floor for Treasurer, no nominations from the floor. Motion to close nominations for Treasurer by Dave Clements, second by Michael D. Motion to elect Paula Sharpe as Treasurer. Mark Matthewson was re-elected as District I Commissioner, Brett Sorenson was re-elected as District IV Commissioner. Rick Freed was elected as District III Commissioner to replace Don Drazdys. VIII. Reports-Casey discussed the Mission of US Soccer to Make soccer the most prominent sport in the United States. NSSA has shown success on the field by increased representation at the President s Cup, Regionals and Nationals. Success off the field has been demonstrated by such things as the success of the NSSA Day of Education, Hall of Fame Dinner, Diversity Committee, Project and Development Committee. NSSA is building on the success of the past and accepting challenges head on. Casey expresses thanks to Don Drazdys for his service on the NSSA Board.
IX. For the Good of the Game-Harlan M expresses concern about who is eligible to apply for membership and who and why they are approved. Casey states that he is going through parameters to address eligibility for approval. X. Adjournment- Paul S motioned to adjourn with a second by Dave Clements, motioned carried at 12:53pm.
