CHAPTER OF NAHRO DATE: March 18, 2016 NOTICE TO: L H C Membership FROM: Tonya Mabry, L H C President RE: LHC Annual Legislative Conference 2910 Common St. Lake Charles, LA 70601 Phone (337) 564-5694 Fax (337) 564-5703 The Louisiana Housing Council will hold its Annual Legislative Conference, awards ceremony, scholarship presentations, & annual business meeting at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, located at 201 Lafayette St. Baton Rouge, LA on. Some committee meetings will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, beginning at 2:00 PM. Other committee meetings will begin on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 9:00 AM. The First Time Attendees Reception will be held from 11:00 AM 11:30 AM immediately followed by the Meet and Greet scholarship recipients reception to be held from 11:30 AM 12:00 noon. All are invited to visit with the scholarship recipients during this time. Our luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon Wednesday with the scholarship presentations and a legislative committee report. Debra Doyle, chair of the Scholarship Committee, will present the recipients of this year s scholarships, Kenneth Habetz, chairman of the Legislative Committee, will report on pending legislation. The Seafood Fest will be held at the Pentagon Barracks Lawn at 5:00 PM on Wednesday May, 11, 2016. This event gives us an opportunity to meet with our legislators to discuss pending legislation and to thank them for their assistance. Members of the Conference Planning committee along with other committee VPs, have put together a two-day program beginning at 1:45 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, and ending Friday, May 13, 2016, at 11:30AM. The TENTATIVE agenda is included in this announcement.
