Chairman Beretta will come up with a proposal and send to the Board prior to the next meeting. Decision will be made at the next meeting. VIII. DISTRICT STAFF ITEMS A. Chief - Tory Gallante 1. Recommends Probationary FF s Joseph Cruz and Christopher Rinck be removed from probation. Both have completed all training requirements. A motion was made by Comm. Dore that at the Chiefs recommendation they are taken off probation and made permanent. Seconded by Comm. Muckenhaupt. - Motion Carried, 5 0 Chief Gallante presented FF Cruz and FF Rinck with their helmet shield and both were congratulated by all. 2. Insurance renewal thanked Gail for shopping around and we will be staying with Rose & Kiernan as our agent and remaining with ESIP as our insurance carrier. Small rate increase of approximately $2300. Disability insurance expiring in April; rates staying about the same. 3. Grants requesting items that were denied be resubmitted for reconsideration. Suggested adding additional guidance to Treasurer Passikoff for the reports that the BOFC want. 4. Denise is working on a Records Management & Inventory Grant. In process of going through records to see what we can consolidate. (mentioned at the end of the meeting) 5. Items for Executive Session: A. Follow-up on a status of the potential retirement and employment status of an individual. E. Injury status on three (3) individuals. B. Assistant Chiefs 1. 1 st Assistant Chief John Richardson A. Thanked the volunteers who worked 448 man hours and saved the District over $26K in overtime costs during the last storm. B. Hillis Terrace structure fire ROM was covered with four men and helped save that home. C. Spoke about the classes being denied for Fire Investigation. Good to have someone on scene; if not on scene, it costs overtime to call someone in. 2. 2 nd Assistant Chief Eric Philipp A. Thanked the volunteers and career staff for their assistance during the last snow storm. C. EMS 1. Director of EMS John Kloepfer No items 2. Assistant Director of EMS David Violante A.
