English Migration Entry Test IELTS Score > 5.0 in all skills (15 pts) Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening IELTS 5.0 Modest User Has partial command of the language, coping with overall meaning in most situations, though is likely to make many mistakes. Should be able to handle basic communication in own field Translation to Professions IELTS Handbook Linguistically More Demanding Courses such as Medicine, Law identify IELTS 7.5 as Acceptable. Linguistically Less Demanding Academic Courses such as Accounting, Mathematics identify IELTS 7.0 as Acceptable. Below these scores it identifies English Study Needed.
