Request from Kern County Personnel Department to remove the name of SCOTT MCPHEE from the eligible list for Light Vehicle Driver, Eligible List No. 5564, and impose penalties upon him for falsification of his application. In accordance with Civil Service Rules 306.00 & 307.00, it is requested to impose the penalties as outlined in the memorandum to the Civil Service Commission. APPROVED; Pa/Pr 4 ayes/1 ab 17. Director of Personnel Items/Report of Closed Session Actions: Ms. Krebs reported the following: There was one Closed Session item on March 11, 2013. The results of that decision are listed in the public minutes of that meeting. On March 11, 2013, your Commission referred to the Personnel Director for further review two items: The suggestion for Closed Agenda items and the listing of individual names on the Civil Service Commission agendas and minutes. She

Page 5 is still gathering data from other counties and hopes to bring these two issues back for discussion at the May Commission meeting. Continuing the Meet and Confer process on recommended revisions to CSR Sections 308.00, 403.00 and 406.00. The proposed changes would put in place ramifications for cheating on applications or examinations. She hopes to present revisions to the Commission in the very near future. Long time permanent Office Services Technician, Amy Tapia, accepted a promotion to the Public Defender s Office last month. We have hired a replacement, Krystal Lopez, who began working at the department on March 25 th. 18. Commission Member Presentations or Announcements: Commissioner Rose reported she recently spent time at the Public Health Department and it was a wonderful experience. She expressed she was amazed at all that is done by that department and appreciative of all the fine staff in that department. Commissioner Prince asked that reconsideration be given to placing reclassifications on the consent agenda. CLOSED SESSION At 5:53 pm, Motion to adjourn to closed session to hear items 13 and 19. Pr/Ro 4 ayes/1 absent 19. Request for Closed Session regarding consultation with the Sheriff (Government Code section 54957 (a).) ITEM WAS HEARD AND THERE IS NO REPORTABLE ACTION. 20.
