At the recent district conference, the club received the Gold Award for excellence in public relations. Our publicity techniques were highlighted as one of the three best practices in the district along with our Apple Blossom Day event planning. Therefore, Red Hook Rotary had two of the three best practices highlighted! Members we missed and hope to see next week: Walter Avis, Betsy Levy, Karen Mead- Cadorette and Barry Ramage. Special guest: Anthony Place of Trustco Bank. Attendance: 76%; Happy dollars: $35.00; 50/50: Jonah Triebwasser who donated his share to the Rotary Foundation (thank you Jonah!) Our next meeting: Tuesday, May 24th, 7:30 a.m. Bread & Bottle.
