ELECTION FOR CHAIRS OF SELECT COMMITTEES: RESULT Nominations for chairs of the 25 elected select committees and the chair of the backbench business committee closed on Wednesday 10 June and elections were held by secret ballot on Wednesday 17 June 2015. No ballot was necessary for 12 committees for which a single nomination had been received, as follows: Committee: Communities & Local Government Energy & Climate Change Environment, Food & Rural Affairs Northern Ireland Affairs Procedure Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Scottish Affairs Standards Treasury Transport Welsh Affairs Women and Equalities Elected: Mr Clive Betts Angus Brendan MacNeil Neil Parish Mr Laurence Robertson Mr Charles Walker Mr Bernard Jenkin Pete Wishart Kevin Barron Mr Andrew Tyrie Mrs Louise Ellman David T.C.
