Answers: at an HSA meeting students expressed concerns over parking c. Sen. Phommachanh- What would you like to change within the college of business? Wants to create a social media page for students to reach out to senators. b. Noticed classes are mainly full and that can delay graduation. c. Wants to make it easier for students to find organizations that will help professional development. d. Motion to open a period of questioning. Seconded e. Sen. Prasanna- How do you plan to reach out to your constituents given you re not in the college. Answerhe will table and reach out on social media. f. Sen. Adeyemi- Are you involved in any clubs in the college of engineering? Answer: No but he lists several clubs he wants to reach out to. g. Sen. Avila- Are there any common problems you ve heard in the college? Answer: A huge problem was overcrowded classes and freshman resident stickers do not apply at the DP Lots. h. Sen. Lohse- Do you have any updates about the men at DP cafeterias? Answer: Jokes that there was a complaint about fries but will seriously contact Bill McNease to hear any of his input on complaints. i. Motion to open a period of questioning. b. Sen. Tilley- Have you heard any concerns within the college? Answer: No, but is planning to ask professors for permission to present at the beginning of classes. Also wants to reach out to clubs on the Hospitality and Merchandizing side of the college. c. Motion to close the period of questioning. d. Motion to open the period of closed discussion. e. Motion to close the period of discussion. f. Motion to vote by roll call. g. Vote passes! Congratulations Senator Iwanski! b. F2017-R2 Transparency Resolution i. Discussion and Vote 1. Motion to open the period of discussion. 2. Sen. Tilley discusses the expectations of all branches of SGA and how not all of them are concerned with outreach. 3. Sen. Matamoros- disagrees and believes interns are responsible for outreach. 4. Sen. Motlagh- is open for amending the bill to talk specifically about senators. 5. Sen. Tilley- Suggests we amend it to say executive and legislative branch 6. Sen. Collins- Points out that this is an internal thing and that we all need to be behind this resolution if we pass it.

7. Sen. Belokin- This resolution is intended to just tell the students that we made internal promises at retreat and that we will follow through with responsibilities. 8. Sen. Lohse- Says senators need to ask ourselves if we are willing to put ourselves forward and proactively canvas the student body as the resolution says we want to do. It is not binding but if we pass this, we should do it wholeheartedly. 9. Sen. Motlagh- Shows support for amendments. 10. Motion to make an amendment to the first Let it Be Resolved. 11. Motion to vote by unanimous consent on the amendment. 12. Sen. Mondragon- expresses wish to give specifics in the Let it Further Be Resolved 13. Sen. Dondrea- expresses wish to keep the resolution vague so that senators can operate as we see fit throughout the semester. 14. Sen. Roosa- Expresses that if we wanted to add specifics we should write a separate bill. 15. Motion to close the period of discussion. 16. Motion to vote by roll call. 17. Vote passes! Congratulations Senate! VIII. College Reports a. College of Business i. Senators working together to find tabling dates in the BLB. ii. Senators noticed lack of recycling bins in the BLB b. College of Education i. No report c. College of Engineering i. Working on getting the organization presidents and dean of the college together for clearer communications

ii. Working on changing vendors to help with the food complaints d. College of Health & Public Service i. No report e. College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences i. Working on changing the SGA constitution to be more pronouninclusive ii. Tomorrow, 10/19/17 is Sen. Ashwood s Birthday 1. Senate sings Happy Birthday f.
